  • add shadows from the arm

  • @H34dshotMickey no need. The light is coming from above so the frozen arm casts no shadows as the ground is not in the frame.

  • how you do that???

  • CHAOS CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • now try nd stop the plants to move!

  • I would have grabbed the wood and knocked myself out... o.O

  • Haha, nice!

    5/5

Just next time feather the mask just a tad bit more =)

  • Hey guys just a heads up...

I have created a new channel for the purpose of making tutorials for some if not all the effects found on this channel. So, please subscribe to my channel it can be found by searching 'mizchifproductions' here on youtube! Thanks for all your support!

  • Tell me how u do it pleaser????

  • that looks pretty good!

check out my time freeze effect as well!

  • nice ^^

pls make a tutorial how to do this

    5*

  • Google "videocopilot" there are some other amazing tutorials as well :)

  • wow, this is so easy to do i am not impressed

  • how can i do that for my videos?

  • Eh... the background was moving.

  • kind of the point....

  • Actually, that's NOT the point.

In a "time freeze," time is frozen (duh). Meaning, EVERYTHING is at a stand-still (obviously including the BACKGROUND).

    Good effort, though.

  • the point is for the guy to stand still

    Good effort, though.

  • how you do that

  • lmao... matrix ish.. nice..

  • can u make a video tutorial on how to do that effect plz

  • take a snapshot of when u wanna make it start. then place it one on top of eachother and presto it works..

  • not that great since the wind in the background is blowing when time is supposed to be "frozen"

  • pretty cool!

  • That was good i never used adobe after effects and want to use it and beable to do that i hope it wont be to advanced for me

  • You can do it using free programs, WMM and Gimp.

  • no you cant.

  • Yes you can, I've done it.... So... HA!

  • with windows movie maker?? post it up on youtube and ill belive you

  • I already did, I'll make one like this vid later.

  • niiice

  • could you do a freezing effect?? like Tracy?

  • I haven't tried but when I get time, I'll test it.

  • niice good but you should of croped the whole thing to make it look more realistic

  • Thanks. I know as it was my first attempt I just wanted the 'freeze'. When I make another one I'll be sure to make it better.

  • thats good to hear ;D

  • wow thats cool!^^

  • good dude!

    teach me please!

  • search andrew kramer or videocopilot and you will find the tutorials on how to do this stuff. first you need adobe after effects though :S

  • I searched A.K. and found nothing but vids by other people...hhmmm??

  • lol..good, but the grass behind the frozen guy didnt move.

  • Hey How do you add mucic to vids in AE, And put AE on Youtube. I just use a Hypercam because i dont know how. could you tell me.

  • All you do is find the music you want (.mp3 file) and drag it into AE (top lefthand corner) and then drag it onto your workspace (where you drag your footage @the bottom) when you render your movie make sure to change preferences to have both video/audio together. After it renders I downloaded a avi to mpeg converter (free trial ver.) to compress the file size and then upload to youtube! Hope that helps (somewhat lol)

  • lol good 1

  • LMAO!!

  • lol, yeah but anyone with a non-linear editor and a greenscreen can do that

  • THat was pretty cool.

  • it would be much easier to use a mask then a green screen

  • you did use a greenscreen? or you put a mask in the arm of the guy?

  • i made this vid awhile ago now but i didn't use a greenscreen. i froze the image and then used a mask to add the video in the background.

  • You gotta make a tutorial on that.

    That is sweet.

  • videocopilot . c om

  • Why not take advantage and punch him in the ribs or bust a bottle on his head? Or at least make him punch himself? Good job on the compositing . What did you use, a green screen?

  • haha freaking nice! 5/5

  • Video quality due to effects that werent so polished

  • yeah

  • Hehe I though he was gonna pick up the pole and fuck himself up.. Nice Job!

  • fortunately for me.. I don't roll like that haha, thanks

    glad you enjoyed it.

  • nice like the green screen on the left hand side clone that is the shit

  • not too bad, most people arent as good at after effects as you...most use very stupid fx....i appreciate the time put into doing the time freeze and cloning....nice work, check out some of my vids...i have some nice fx in mine too

  • good job man ive got that program and some day you r goona watch one of my videos

  • Like Hiro, from heroes does

  • After Effects or Sony Vegas?

  • lmao that was kinda funny

  • Nah, u should used a better tripod/thing to hold it steady. The movements were'nt axactly right. But nice first try!

  • He is using TRIPOD... its the video quality that shaked the film.

  • Not too bad. Try feathering the edge of your rotoscope around the arm. It looks really sharp and stands out too much compared to the rest of the video. Also try using a more static background, it becomes too obvious when half the plants on the ground are blowing in the wind and the others are not. You can also add some noise on top of the frozen frame so it still appears to be rolling footage.

  • cool!

  • looks good

  • thanks ima keep workin' on it

  • Just because of this video, I favorited, subscribed, and rated. Plus a link to a tutorial! YOU ROCK!!!!! Love the time-freeze effect. hehe, they used it in Click and On the Lot. Your going places man.

    Nate

  • thanks for subscribing, im looking forward to other videos i've made that are in production stages so look out for those. btw, i hate that other people DON'T give out tips/tutorials because they want to keep to themselves. i just want to post up tutorials so i can see others' attempts and see where i can improve. this effect can be perfected if i learn 'bullet time' meaning the '3d time freeze' like on heroes etc. man that'd be good to learn.

  • yeah i agree with you about people keeping "secrets", we're not magicians. good vid man, well done. bullet time is hard to do properly, but if you do it on a greenscreen its way easier.

  • i needa try greenscreen sometime, if only i wasn't so busy with work i could devote more time into this but hey, thanx for commentin'.

  • no probs. work is a drag.

  • no argument there haha

  • "bullet time" is not exactly that hard if you got a load of money. In The Matricx, they used many cameras in 360degrees or so, that took a shot at the exact same time, then they morphed them together^^

  • lol nice

  • Can u add a tutorial how to do this with after effects? thanx

  • i'll do ya one better.. visit this site

    >> video co pilot (one word) dot net <<

click on 'tutorials' tab and scroll down

LOTS of cool tutorials on there including this 'time freeze' effect

    check it out..

  • Oh thats cool thanx a lot!

  • anytime, comment me when you make your own video k.

  • I love this site definilty get riot gear fx it is soo great and u have some coolideas for videos so u could make some good ones.

  • thanks for NOT being an asshole and hiding the fact that u've learned it from master AK:)

Seen so many vids on YT with his effects. Alot does not mention his work at all, and some even take credit for the effect, even though it looks exactly like AK's tut. Same color, same camera movements etc, only changed to "blah blah blah Production" :P

  • yeah man I know what you mean it pisses mr off so much

  • cool

  • thankS guyS, im StiLL workin' on it

  • ausome
