Hey um so I discovered BATalsdr back in like.....late may? And I downloaded all of his music, 320kbps rips, just so I could put it on shuffle away from the computer and search through it. I'm not an advocate of piracy, nor am I endorsing it, but I do have most of it except the recent stuff. umm so if there's enough interest I'll tag it all up and find a place on the internet to put it. So, yeah, sorry subiliz if I'm jacking your vid.
@subiliz About the piracy stuff, that statement was written when I was way too tired to be doing stuff on the internet. I really could care less, I just wanted to make sure people understood why I was doing it, and then proceeded to smash that into a wall.
I'll try to get to this as fast as I can, but I have a lot going on right now, I'm a high-achieving AP student in 11th with Band and Sports, and this is like, when everything happens. But I'll try

This is one of those rare cases where someone posting videos of other people's content did way more good, than harm. He had so many songs from people I have never heard of, and would never know of them without BATalsdr, meaning I would never buy their music. Now he's gone, and all those tunes are gone with him, and I won't have an easy way of finding these artists to buy their music. Some things shouldn't be subjected to blanket rulings, especially as BATalsdr was not making money from these.
@lenorelurks It's not about him not making money from the viewing of the songs, it's about the copyright violations, the violation of youtube's terms of service, and the artists THEMSELVES not making money from illegal sales of their music. You also can't say you would've never known about them without the help of one person, that's just your assumption. If you don't look, you won't find. I agree with you on most of the points, but there's just no legal loophole or way around the rulings.
@SnizzFizz That's why I was saying he was a very rare case. Often people who do this do it for a personal gain, but I feel he was really just trying to share some amazing music with the community. I know he was violating terms by doing this, and it was really only a matter of time, but I just get the impression it was more about sharing than stealing, you know? And I can only talk from my personal experience, as I honestly would not know most of these artists without him. No assumptions.
@lenorelurks It definitely is an assumption, you don't know what it would be like if he wasn't there to show you, because that didn't happen for you to know what it would be like. You also don't know what music you would've found if he wasn't there, because that also wasn't the case; he was there and you did find him. He was definitely trying to share some amazing music with the community, but it's stealing regardless of how you look at it. Sharing without copyright permission = stealing.

Sorry if that's happened, because I wasn't trying to start anything, I was simply speaking from my own very personal experience and interaction with his channel. I was stating what happened with me and my interaction with his channel and the effect that had on me, and that I understood these weren't his tunes but I felt glad he could share them for a awhile. I miss BATalsdr :( not only did he introduce me to LOADS of new music, he also had loads of music that I regularly listened to from his channel. We should PROTEST
