During my first playthrough of PoR, since the cutscene where Ashnard and the Black Knight say that the "worm" has been accepted into your group is so close to Volke's recruitment, I had Volke die by the Kilvas Ravens. Then I learned Nasir was the spy and heard Volke's backstory ( FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-!) Second playthrough, he got upgraded to Assassin... then killed by a catapult on a bridge.

I know this because I only used Volke as a challenge on 4-6 (Which was a pain D=)

And I had EXACTLY the amount he had asked to be paid.

No offense, haha (most non-premoted units do get better than the promoted ones after all. I know this)! Legault was better... well, for most of the stats. It was hard to get his Attack higher than his, but most of the other stats did get better than Jaffar's. But, I liked Jaffar more than Legault simply because of his title "Angel of Death" :)

@Trueblade24 I agree, Jaffar had a far better story then the rest of the characters... He had a reason to kill Nergal moreso then all the others. It's all a matter of opinion and luck with stats though. My Legault would dodge more frequently and his AP didn't really matter as long as he could do 1 damage and 1 hit kill lol...

Yes, definately. That's one main reason why I personally liked Jaffar in FE7. He had a story in the background of Fire Emblem. I wish they could've revealed more of that, but I guess they wanted to leave Jaffar rather mysterious to the bitter end. Oh well, at least he was an assassin class! :)

There is a maniac mode in the Japanese version of the game once you complete hard mode. Why that kind of difficulty wasn't released over in the U.S., that I do not know. I suppose they think we aren't up for the challenge.
