thats called the garfield grip. This video was made in 2010? drumlines and corps used a technique like that around the 70-90's. cymbal playing has evolved alot since then. You probably need to check out some other lines and videos to see what cymbal playing looks like now. cause alot of these technique are outdated and look bad and childish. On the crash muffles your not muffling fast enough. any one that knows anything about cymbals laughs at cymbal lines that play like this just sayin
