My plant is at least 2 years old and its much smaller and the branches are not that thick at all. My problem is that it produces long branches and it gets higher but I want it to have a more compact, bush like form. Any tipps someone?
How can you tell how old a blueberry plant is? I bought one at a nursery but I have no idea if it is 3 years old or not.. doesn't look as big as that one in your video.
3 years old from seed??? That's some pretty crazy growth for a 3 year old. I have a 2 year old ones that are only about 2ft tall and no where near that size.

That looks to be about a 5 year old plant. Perhaps it was a couple years old when it was planted. The wood that was lopped off was especially old

Very clear, thanks.
Now, why wouldn't you prune away ALL of the old, dead growth?

Can you take that cutting and replant it to make a new blue berry plant?
