But this is annecdotic, most weapons are russian made, MP443 is being used by more and more units, i don't know about GSH18, i also know that the SR1 (SPS) is widely used in both army and MVD by elite groups. But most of the guns reamain the makarov versions, PM and PMM.

@YESMAN977 The stechkin will last and be very reliable, the beretta will be horrifyingly awful once its parts start to wear down in a year or so, Glock is a good gun, but overrated, the scorpion is reliable, but rare and usually manufactured out of cheap parts, if you find a REAL full auto C96 that isn't the cheap spanish copy hold onto it for dear life, and the sterling smg is cheap. Good luck finding enough money for any of these guns though, and good luck getting a liscence to own them too

@FullTiIt Glock isn't overrated(maybe by cod fags), actually alot of gun owners don't like "plastic" guns. But glocks have earned every bit of respect they get. So many accounts of water/mud logged glocks recovered months later that still fire without restoration. Glocks are reasonably priced as well. That russian gun looks cumbersome, I am willing to bet all the remaining APSs are overpriced or broken. Metal corrodes faster than poly. I hope you're not those folk who glorify everything russian

@NSixtyFour No I don't glorify everything russian. My favorite handgun I've ever fire is actually a .40s&w CZ I got to fire a while back. Personally I'm not a fan of poly framed handguns, I don't like the feel of them.. You are probably right about there not being many (if any APSs) left still functional, but in their day they were a good pistol. The other issue with Glock is the whole "glocknade" thing, with the .40 cal ones not covering the brass. I've just never been a fan of Glock

You just need to get past all the red tape paying all taxes to the feds and police which is like 300 or something per transfer, wait a few months to pass background checks and for paperwork to clear. The Stechkin APS was a pretty cool wartime experiment, but its recoil was too much on full auto. Not to mention that the shoulder stock that's supposed to help with the recoi issue made the whole package as bulky as a submachine gun.

Not really. The uzi is heavy and bulky, but the weight helps controll the gun.The rather slow rate of fire (about 600 RPM)makes it even easier.Even if it uses the weaker 9x18 russian pistol round,the APS is merely a light pistol.Even with the rate reducer, it still runs at a rather fast 800RPM(not so fast for a machine pistol though) which makes it considerably hard to tame.But if you were to train for a period of time, you would have more fire power in a more compact format.

First pislol in the world w/ stock-holster. Not bad I can say. Reliable mechanism, 20 rounds in clip and selectable fire mode - that's enough for killing a couple of enemies on close distance. Also there is a modification to work w/ attachable silencer. This pistol makes proud any avid gun collector.

This is a sad gun because it was actually considered a failure by the Soviet Unioin. They considered it to be too large to be a machine pistol and too small to be a sub-machine gun. I denounce this as most modern mahine pistols (Glock 18C for example) are either uncontrolable or have a stock ( Beretta M93 for example). Look closely. It has barely any recoil with a stock. The M93 has triple that and is only 3 round burst. The C96 even came with stock sometimes so don't complain about stocks.

the glock is only faster because on full auto the fireing pin isn't even held back until the shooter unsqueezes the trigger, so what you have is an openbolt/closedbolt automatic with the reload of the bullet as fast as the length of a 9mm cartridge when expended. hope you understand the last part :P. This gun has a switch which dissables the primary lock on the hammer, now the slide reloads a round but the bullet cant fire until the hammer has traveled from down position to the fireing pin
