  • god stop the rolling so what its not 8-bit its also not bad

  • I wouldn't really call it abandoned, as there are cars in it

  • Well, from what I've heard, there are many types of 8-bit sounds. Not just the Nes ones.

  • Comment removed

  • You should just use the 8bit plugin for fruity loops. That'll REALLY sound like nes and be 8bit. You only get the original 3 sounds. Good luck.

  • Nice.

  • It's hard to enjoy something that doesn't sound very good.

  • If you don't like it, don't watch it. "WAH YOU USED GSXCC", Just shut-up, look up famitracker videos with this song, instead of complaining.

  • "oh boo hoo,its not real 8-Bit. Therefore,U SUX"

Really people? maybe it isnt 8-Bit,but you cant deny its a pretty awesome MIDI rendition.

  • @FriendGuardStudios

People have to find something to whine about.

BAAAW IT'S NOT EXACTLY HOW I WANT IT SO IT MUST BE SHIT.

  • The highway wasn't entirely abandoned...

  • It's coolio, make a pttune format file using pxtone.

  • @knucklesandmighty

Yeah! Its good enough to be 8-bit! So everybody cut the fighting and hug each other!

Wait..I mean FALCON PAUNCH each other! That's a real man's alternative to fighting.

  • You know, I've been looking around, and considering the fact that there were a lot of 8 bit systems of sound processing, it's getting really irritating that the NES system is highly praised. Yeah, I know, it's a classic, but then there's that and holding milestones as the only thing possible.

In essence, that reeks of annoyance just as much as whining over english dubbing in video games and anime. This crap needs to stop.

  • This sounds more chiptuney to me and not truely 8-bit. Still, sounds nice.

  • duh, i OBVIOUSLY agree with knuckles, down here.

  • for some reason 8-bit X reminds me of Sonic

  • @TheRaySay Yes.

  • @TheRaySay Well, that's when you need skills and 8-bit stuff.

  • Nobody needs an 8-bit MegaMan X remix when you have MegaMan Xtreme.

  • Whether or not it's 8-bit, this is pretty good... I don't see why you guys are complaining... >_>

  • @MaskedMystery3874

Because it is no where near Capcom's best, they could and have done MUCH MUCH better.

That is why I am complaining.

  • C,mon its not that bad

  • Thumbs down, I mean REALLY down...

  • mega man and 8-bit go together like peas and carrots

  • Awesome *------------*

    good job!

  • This is not 8 bit.

  • @Envy3x111 Yesh It Is

  • @MrNiconiconico

No, it isn't. A song is "8-bit" when four music channels are playing: two squares, one triangle, and one noise. Konami and Nintendo utilized a chip that allowed for more sound channels, but Capcom did not. The SNES had eight music channels. When the creator of this video implemented this song's MIDI into GXSCC, it still retained the eight music channels, even though it sounded 8-bit.

  • @GamingCakes Shut Up Thats All I'm Going To Say!

  • @MrNiconiconico

If that's your best defense for your lack of research, maybe you're not mature enough to handle the Internet.

  • @GamingCakes Just Shut Up.

    End Of Comment.

    Now Leave Me Alone.

  • @Envy3x111 I'd Like to You See Do Better!

  • @Envy3x111 just ignore that and enjoy the music!

  • This should have been used for mega man xtreme for gbc!!! I swear even when the economy was decent they went soooo cheap!

  • Epic

  • I find it very amazing how a pair of stupid people commenting can ruin a whole video. Look this isnt NES music, its a converted midi converted in a way so it ressembles NES' music style, thats why this versions of the song r called 8-bit. Stop being stupid, if u dont like the vid just DONT COMMENT or better, just DONT WATCH IT and GTFO here...

  • If your trying to do it NES style, then you have failed.

Way too many channels to begin with to be 8 bit.

Plus Capcom would have done this so much better than this shit.

  • @snake2006 Capcom DID make an 8 bit version of this, listen to the first stage in Megaman Xtreme

  • @mrzisawesome

I have never played Mega Man Xtreme. But if this is by Capcom, then WHAT THE HELL? That is horrible.

They really have gone downhill. Mega Man 10's music sucked as well.

The world is going all fiddle faddle foo.

  • @snake2006 No this way made by a fan.

Search for the music of the opening stage of Xtreme.

  • @mrzisawesome

I admitted that its not fan made. I am just saying it sucks and I expected better from Capcom.

Hence why I said Mega Man 10's music sucked as well and the world is going all fiddle faddle foo.

  • @snake2006 Mega Man 10's Music Rocked!

  • @MrNiconiconico

2 songs in the whole game was good. The rest were complete crap even by mega man standards.

  • @snake2006 Seriously I Had No Problem With The Soundtrack!

  • @snake2006 Troll harder.

  • @jacobbill

Who is trolling? I am just surprised that this if officially from Capcom. I know they are capable of doing much better.

Also Mega Man 10 did suck. They took everything good about 9 and threw it out the window to make the game with a Easy mode all in the name of more sales.

It shows in the level design, the soundtrack, pretty much the entire package.

  • @snake2006 "even by mega man standards". So, does that mean that Mega Man music in general sucks?

  • @rstada8

    Hell no.

Mega Man music usually rocks. They are usually classic.

But MM10 every song stunk. I found almost none that I liked.

  • @snake2006 Thank you.

  • @snake2006 I liked "Abandoned Memory".

  • GXSCC = bullshit

  • THIS IS MEGAMAN X-THE ARCADE GAME! TRY WITH LESS CHANNELS!!!

  • dosint really sound like nes but good remake

  • i used to play this game all the time

  • Jay Reichard is the one who made this!

Sorry, Iris, but this sort of things are lame.

  • @Megaricardo No worries. She credited me in the image, so she's not in trouble.

  • midi coverter = Fail.

    not real 8 bit

  • @MANSTA8 when they dont credit the original artist thats just bull -.-

  • @MANSTA8 FOR THE LAST TIME! IT IS 8-BIT JUST NOT NES 8-BIT!

  • @mariomaniac6411

I'd like you to tell me which system was capable of this many channels in the 1980's.

  • @GamingCakes Actually, many arcade games ran on 8-bit processors!

  • @MANSTA8 It's 8 bit, but not NES 8 bit

  • @93bendzsi: No, it's 32 bit midi that's just using square wav.

  • @MANSTA8 Well, but sounds good anyway.

  • Tired of hearing these supposed 8bit tunes.....there's too many channels in this to be true 8bit.

  • @art11art12

true 8 bit has 4 channels Maximum.

  • Nice,And a downloadable Mp3!

    Double Win!

  • 3,2,1......Mega Buster Fire!!

  • chosentonessournotes: Allow me to disagree with you. Sure, the X games DO have flaws here and there. For example the repetitive attack patterns of the bosses in X3(Tunnel Rhino keeps charging backwards and forwards), the crappy voice acting in X4, X5 was intended to be the last, Capcom didn't work with X6 as serious as the previous games, the dumb 2-D to 3-D transaction in X7, and the auto scrolling stages in X8. Other than that, you can't say Capcom never TRIED to do a good job, right?

  • Hey, Capcom TOTALLY redeemed themselves with Megaman 9. That game was fucking fantastic.

  • Make that 10

  • I agree, X2 was a slight improvement over X. I still say X3 was good enough tho (still very good)... but yes, it began the trend of suck. too many options after that, not enough straight up mega man gameplay.

  • *COUGH*Central Highway, godammit!*COUGH*

  • We Need Mega Man X9!

  • No, we don't.

  • @chosentonessournotes

    Yes, we need.

  • @chosentonessournotes : I think maybe now it might be time. Capcom really seems to understand the value of the mega man roots (shown in MM9 and MM10). Obviously the development skill is there. As long as they pick up that the majority of gamers would wish a new X game to be modeled after X or X2, then all would be great.

  • Now see, I'm with you here... But if they keep going with the formula they followed with X4 and up, then no, I don't want it. But another X1? DEFINITELY.

  • @Dragoonknight717

id like to see them make x9 like they did for mega man 9, only this time in 16bit rather than 8

  • That's enough, MaverickHunterIris

  • I like these 8 bitish tunes MMX tunes.

  • Thanks man, but the mixing is too GOOD. lol. Too spacious for a true 8-bit sound, and not enough crush. I love music and I love X a lot.

  • X3 isnt it??

  • Nope,X1. :P

  • Abandoned Highway, what? I remember cars driving on it

  • @SuperNerd000

Only a few, and all of them crashed. Then, at the end, the airship dropped a few more. It's obviously abandoned because the thing is filled with holes.

  • @CirqueDuFreak2000

I think the cars, damage, holes, etc. were there because the people were suddenly attacked by the robots, and X was called to help the people after the attack had begun, and I remember at the very beginning there were cars driving away fleeing the enemy robots, haven't played the game in a long time, so my memory might be a bit off, I'm gonna have to look it up.

  • Point taken. I guess it's because the fleeing cars "abandoned" the highway by running from the mavericks.

  • @SuperNerd000 who cares? its just a cool game

  • yeah. the highway from megaman x 1 wasnt "abandoned" it was being evacuated...if thats what you mean. It was being attacked by mavericks and in the beginning there were cars driving away in terror. After that the road is damaged and all you see are destroyed cars left over.

  • yeah, thats what I meant, and @themegahomoable i agree that it's cool

  • Don't they already have this theme in 8-bit for megaman xtreme?

  • Basically, yes

  • yes but it isnt as accurate because the gameboy didnt have as many sound channels. in fact alot of the remixes they did for the gameboy versions of the games had to slightly change the songs or remic them at certain parts. you'll even find missing notes in some of the songs compared to the originals. this version however is a coversion of a midi version of the song to NES style notes and sounds so it has the same amount of sound channels as the original, even though a real NES doesnt.

  • Converted? You mean uploaded into GSXCC and with the click of a button, turned into something that is not impressive, nor 8-Bit? Bah.

  • @MegaMacTV

It is 8-bit and impressive. Fail to see why you got fricking thumbs up.

  • @MegaMacTV

well, it's still pretty decent, even if it's not true 8-bit

  • @MegaMacTV In hindsight, I was rather foolish with this comment as converted is exactly what he/she did. However, I still stand by the overuse of GSXCC everywhere. This isn't too bad though, I guess.

  • @MegaMacTV @MANSTA8 It's 8-bit just not NES 8-bit. Now stop being ungrateful whiny assholes and enjoy the fucking music! Jesus...

  • @BluYoshi9001 This is more than what 8-Bit is, so to speak. I wrote that comment about a year ago. At the time, I was tired of hearing nothing but converted MIDIs when looking for actual sequenced or tracked covers. Since then, I have found and made a list of all the trackers on here. There's only a handful of them, but they are very talented! =)

  • @MegaMacTV Good. Now just enjoy it! *relieved sigh*

  • @BluYoshi9001 it IS NES 8-bit whit some chips

  • This is pretty good. This might sound strange, but through the music, I could actually picture the MegaMan X games on NES and also because of the picture.

  • GSXCC

  • Original by Capcom...

    Midi sequenced by Jay somebody...

Converted by you? So you did what, took the song and uploaded it? What did you actually do?

  • Sheput the midi through this program to turn it into an 8 bit song.

It may have taken some extra adjustment for the mixing.

    But thats just a possibility.

But I have the same program she has, so I know what she did.

  • Yeah I get that, but what did she physically actually do on the song? Press a convert button, if that?

I hate when people upload other people's shit on youtube and claim it as their own

  • Technically she didn't

She put both the rightful owners up there.

Capcom and the creator of the midi.

    She did nothing wrong

  • Don't you mean Central Highway? Also, this is cool.

  • It sounds good!

  • Damn, Youre good at this!

  • 8-Bit FTW!! :D

  • AH! Classic! =) Though I do like the new remixes as well.

  • The 1st stage music of Megaman X,for SNES!!! I've STRUCK GOLD!!!

  • No one cares.

  • Wow! Advertising AND a dead link in one! Well done, sir! This is most definitely spam!

  • Oh I do concur.

  • dead link? Seems to work fine for me.

  • Huh... I don't see why you just didn't rip the song from Megaman Xtreme, though. Its opening stage is an 8-bit version of the Central Highway, and has the 'official' 8-bit music. Either way, nice remix.

  • true, I actually just got Xtreme and realised that myself.

  • This is all so full of epic win!

  • I love 8-bit!

  • 8-bit rules =D

  • Yes, it does! :)

  • This was midi played on GSXCC and recorded. Neat. Just google GSXCC or gxscc or whatever it's called and download it and all you midi will sound like this.

  • Yes, as per the description says.

  • I wonder if they have an 8-bit version of this game....?

  • Check megaman xtreme for GBC. Mixes some levels from X1 and X2

  • Only bad thing about 8-bit is that it doesn't reach mad high notes like the SNES does.

  • gxscc

  • I Wanna Fight, For Everlasting Peace!

    X is Cool *-*

  • it does sound nice!. although i preffer snes version

  • Wow, 8-bit X actually looks pretty badass.

  • lot better than the 3-d x on the psp =.=

  • that's actually the x from the gameboy colour version

  • nope, the X form gbc is black, white and blue. Just three colours. And its smaller

  • yeah I believe this is the GBC one but with a few added colors.

  • reminds me of megaman extreme 1 :)

  • いい曲ばかりですよね。ロックマンは。

  • ね。ロックマンは。

  • great... what program did u use ?? and how long did it take to make???

  • It's super easy to make these conversions. I posted a link to where I downloaded the program and where I get my midis from in the video info box, so if you want, you can start making your own right away!

  • can you convert mp3's to nes wave?

  • Sorry, not with the software I use.

  • you can, however, import and mp3 to FL Studio ( or more commonly known as "fruity loops") and then you can save it as a midi... it should work. If it works, then i guess MANY people are going to start making 8 bit libraries.

  • Damn, your makin me wanna play this awsome game all over again.

  • Somebody must do a 8-Bit version of this epic game for great justice.

    Great remix. 5/5.

  • MOVE "X"

    FOR GREAT JUSTICE!

srsly i loled when i saw your comment!

    also 5/5

  • That will be great. With the last engine of Nes Megaman (including slidding and X-buster moves). It's almost possible with the hack tools on Nes Megaman games but redesign the sprites isn't possible on it I think.

  • the song sounds pretty cool in 8-bit actually

  • 8bit of GLORY!

  • It Sounds much more Awesome in 8-bit just like what Shoxy11 said

  • GREAT ^_^

  • I came.

It's one of my favorite MMX songs as well.

  • Wow. I didn't think someone could make one of my midis sound better. I'm impressed.

  • I don't know how much work it takes to make a midi, but I'm sure it was more than what it took to convert it. That's why I credit your name over mine in the video. Thanks for making the midi!

  • Was my pleasure. ;)

  • Amazing job on this MIDI. You make good ones. I am sorry if you hate my guts over the issue of one of them but I was simply pointing out that one of your got cut short. Your friends are also equally amazing with their 8-bit versions of the songs, too. Personally, I think that you should make more 8-bit versions of more Mega Man game music. A good next two projects for you all would be the Oil Man and Time Man themes from the PSP game Mega Man: Powered Up. That would be so nice in 8 bit.

  • Hate your guts? Not at all! I'm glad you pointed that out because then it allowed me to fix it (I probably would have never noticed otherwise). Currently, I'm trying to finish MMX1, and hoping to move onto MMX2 soon, but Oil Man and Time Man could be fun! Hopefully, I can find good midis to convert.

  • Thanks for the MIDI. I am sorry for the rant about the MMX2/RMX2 introduction theme, though. It just sounded a bit off to me, though. Anyway, want to talk things over on some future music ideas? MVI seems interested in the project, so do you and your other friends seem interested in those songs that I mentioned to you?

  • Sounds exactly like the one off the GBC although it sounds a lot better.

  • Awesome! This is my second favourite MMX song, it sounds cool in 8-bit format!
