  • lol thomas said "ass anal" :P

  • HOLY FUCK, Jens has smile muscles?!! FUCK ME RUNNING. SIDEWAYS.

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like they are going to try to write more collaboratively as a band, as opposed to just learning pre-written pieces. That's going to be awesome.

  • Press 2 over and over for Tomas to say "LISA"

  • I AM WITH MAGNUV !

COME TO FUCKIN ISRAEL AGAIN !

  • jens does the funniest shit in this

  • ass anal

  • lmao @ jens

  • Other than the INCREDIBLE music, this is one of the main reasons why I LOVE Meshuggah: they're actually human 'n not frontin like their pissed off 24/7 like a lot of other "poser" bands. Jens made me LOL nodding his head hehe!!

  • come to fucking israel again!!!!!!!!

  • come to fucking israel again!!!!!!!!

  • 3:36 nomg.

  • this isnt too bad with the youtube 1911 look and sounds

  • 1:43 Haha. Jens.

  • If you notice, Thomas is the main drumming pattern, while Jens adds the poly-rhythmics whenever he knods his head.

  • polirythmic auto-interview

  • What Tom said made no sense to me lol

  • is Kidman stoned? Fuck, i wonder what's it gonna be...

  • i i get it know. its polyrthmic speech. 1st layer is Tomas talking and the other is jens headbanging at different time signatures

  • LOL @ jens grunting

  • Lol Jens random head banging destroyed my concentration on what Tom was saying

  • Im pumped

  • I have no idea what Haake was talking about because I was too busy laughing at Jens the whole goddamn time lol

  • thank you for all the information Jens. lol

  • Jens is absolutely too cool for school.

  • Jens looks like a kid, playing and making fun faces to the camera.

  • @NumbuhWhat DONT EVER TLKETH BADETH OF HIM

    EVER!!!!

  • @NumbuhWhat there's always room for goofiness with meshuggah!

  • 2:55 Damn I laughed hard :DD It's horrible to do duo interviews because only one does all the talking, especially if there's only 1 microphone >_<

  • this puts a smile on my face

  • this thee last album i hear too... meshuggah .... will have to see them that third time.

  • It's so interesting to see how badly so many American people's attention span gets the better of them ;^D Let the Love flow free ...

  • I believe that my neighbors also liked the new album

  • SANTA!!!

    Oh wait......that's Tomas

  • I'm glad about there being a new album as they are a quality band, but please, over 4 minutes to say "We're playing more as a band before recording and touring the US" ... that was painful to listen to.

  • This sound a lot like Hetfield talking about the recording of Saint Anger and Death Magnetic. I really hope Meshuggah wont make the same mistakes... Probably not! :)

Though I hope the new record will sound like early Meshuggah like DEI and None, I sure miss those times...

  • TOUR SOUTH AMERICA!!!!!

    ARGENTINA.

Best band ever! 20 years of career and now they'd like to do it old school, LOL! Let's see what happend... :)

  • YES A FUCKING TOUR!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!

  • singer is drunk, drummer is not good at public speaking, album will rule!

  • its funny to see that when they started to play together they were 19 yrs olds..and now they are getting older, and off course more professional...obZen is their best albums NOW....can't fucking wait.

  • I was having a shit day until i found this.

  • "You want to head bang.."

    "YUUEAAA..."

    ...

  • more like this>destroy erase improve

  • he is gray haired :O

  • I cannot wait for the new album, I have been a fan of Meshuggah for a long time and they have never disappointed me.

  • man their getting old! haha meshuggah is great, cant wait for this album

  • You even assumed what's on my user page is all I listen to. LOL. I have surely listened to more than you have, and my taste is pretty fucking diverse. I listen to everything from reggae to classical to black metal. You can't possibly school me on music.

  • If you even had an ambition to get into the music you would at least read the lyrics and try the get into the theme and atmosphere of it, but it seems even that is too much for you. Well, I'm sorry, common sense doesn't seem to be working here. You must be "special".

  • how can he even talk with a distraction like that??? hahaha you're so funny duuuudeezzz :D

  • Claiming you are as musically open-minded as can be is obviously a lie, when there is music you're not into. It's impossible to be completely open-minded about music, as everyone has preferences, you self-delusional fool. Even the greatest musicians aren't, and yet they have vastly more knowledge than you do. Meshuggah is a highly praised band with much critical acclaim. Your failure to understand bears zero relevance. Suffer in truth.

  • @dujl LOL, are you fucking kidding me? That makes no sense. I never said this music sucked, or that anyone who likes it is stupid, I said I respect it but can;t get into it. That has nothing to do with being open minded or not. Grow up, listen to some more music, come back in a year or so and we'll see if you are still of the same opinions. gtfo, I'm done with you.

  • @oblivionspawn07 Haha. Weak. No one who understands Meshuggah thinks they are boring. I'm so sorry for your gene pool.

  • The music functions kind of like a psychadelic drug, to put it simple, the way it's effects may be desrcibed.

  • @dujl Meshuggah, in case you don't know this or not, is not the only band to make music that allows one to explore himself. Any type of music can do that. It's not because of the way the music is structured or played. Shut the hell up now, reading through your comments, seeing the music on your page, and reading comments people have left you is enough for me to know I don't need to converse with you any longer. Plus your obsession with meshuggah is hilarious.

  • @oblivionspawn07 Lol, once again showing your true colors, of not caring about the truth. I like to mess with clueless people, much like yourself, hence why those comments are on my user page. I have kept them because they are funny.

What you do or don't do is irrelevant. The music is what it is. Your narrow perception doesn't change it. The music of Meshuggah is thematically more introspective than most other music. You don't get it, so obviously you don't know what I'm talking about.

  • Hahaha Jens is the shit

  • LOL @ 3:36

  • Damn 2011 is looking great for metal. New stuff from Meshuggah, Amon Amarth, Mercenary, In Flames, Into Eternity, Amorphis, Anubis Gate, Darkane, Nightrage, Opeth, Pyramaze, Threat Signal, Scar Symmetry and the debut album of the Interbeing!

  • I'm staring at Jens constant nodding...

  • FUCK YES, Their last album makes most other metal on my ipod sound weak as fuck. My prediction is Album of the yr, unless Decapitated tops it.... or Vader...

  • their albums jest evolve and get better each time, hope this new one continues the trend

  • these dudes' head movements are fascinating. psyched to hear the new album XD

  • Jens talks too fucking much.

  • @DsN92ObZen I know, he didn't even give Haake a chance to breathe or anything.

  • @zarucarsha He's such a douchebag

  • @DsN92ObZen We should burn his house down.

  • Thanks god for that

  • At first it was like Jens was in his own world.

  • I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait.

  • Haake is getting grayhaired :P

  • Seems like every great band makes a new album 2011. Well the world is gonna end in 2012 so it's about time :P

  • Jens @01:43

  • Any1 who doesn't like Meshuggah must be really fcukin' RETARDED!

they gonna kickass one more time yet!

  • am i the only one that doesnt like meshuggah?

  • @Pestilentich

Probably... how can you not like the 'shuggah?!

  • @Pestilentich Nope. I've never been able to get into their music. I respect their talent, but every time I try listening to em I fail to get hooked.

  • @oblivionspawn07 that's cuz it's good, yet more backround music than anything

  • @fawncko Well, even as background music I find myself searching for something else to put on. I just simply don't enjoy listening to their music. It's really technical, that's for sure, but for me, the depth that draws me in and immerses me in the music is nowhere to be found.

  • @oblivionspawn07 Then your mind is a limited frontier of discovery. Meshuggah has depth. I'm sorry for you, that you fail to see it.

  • @dujl lol, I highly doubt that. Meshuggah is one of the few bands I can get into, I'm definitely not alone in thinking this.

  • @oblivionspawn07 can't*

  • @oblivionspawn07 Don't doubt, don't deny, just accept it. Most people can't get into Meshuggah, as they make music differently from most people. I hope that you will one day learn how to appreciate Meshuggah, because once you do there's a whole new world opening up to you.

  • @dujl I do doubt. I've tried for 5 years to get into their music. It has nothing to do with me needing to open my mind. It is just boring to me. All you need to do is explain to me what is so special and deep about it and I will acknowledge your reason. I don't mean only deep musically.

  • @oblivionspawn07 Read into some of their lyrics. That will explain the "deep" part as far as concept goes. What makes their music so special musically is that it layers intricate, complex riffs over a solid 4/4 groove core, which enables you to enjoy their music on different levels, in regards to all the different subdivions within their beats, which creates a deep musical structure, that is seriously difficult to comprehend altogether, but gives the listener a lot of time to contemplate it.

  • @dujl That doesn;t do it for me. I've already said that I realise their technical prowess and skill. I realise the music is technically deep. The music I like and devote my time to requires more than that. If you like it that's fine. But telling me I need to open my mind and that my world will open up when I can finally 'realize their greatness' is just stupid.

  • @oblivionspawn07 I wasn't done. There is much more to it than that. if you are unable to delve into the structure of the music, then it is unlikely that it will devulge it's real content. In that way, it's like a puzzle. Only if you understand the structure can you understand the beauty behind it. It requires musical intelligence.

The music is introspective, in essence. It allows the listener to explore his mind in a new way, but requires understanding and concentration.

  • @oblivionspawn07 Ideally it's like a key to a door in your mind, a door which you commonly will rarely venture through. Once you've entered this door, the music transports you to a surreal landscape of abstract shapes and exotic textures, that reveal themselves in vivid color and blend together to form patterns of things known and unknown to you. What one person experiences is personal, since it directly reflects on his own experiences. That is why it intrigues so many.

  • @oblivionspawn07 same dude, i dont think theyre good, not skill wise but my ear wise.

  • MeshuggaH, si hacen una gira con su nuevo album, pasen por ARGENTINA

  • My mind has been blown prior to the albums release. Pre-blown

  • @TheRayven760 too bad...

  • Fucking yes fucking yes!

  • Sick!

  • holy shyttt new album:D cant wait!!!!

  • YES! I bet the cover art will be amazing as allways!, this will surely be... A MATHTERPIECE!!!

  • its obvious! \m/

  • Haake talks allot lol

  • @dontforgetthisnameah Jens nods his head a lot

  • @dontforgetthisnameah

he writes all the lyrics and most of the music. pretty much the backbone of the band

  • @tacosauce777 Er, I wouldn't say he's the backbone of the band. I mean, yea, he writes most of the lyrics but he doesn't write most of the music. They all pitch in on composition.

  • Meshugga!!!!!!!!!

  • You have no idea how stoked I am for this right now.

I will for sure be seeing you guys when you come to California.

  • Fuck yea new Shuggah-3333 album can't wait!

  • can´t wait...

  • i don't have words that can describe how every cell of my body reacts to any of their songs... there are just a few bands capable of causing that reaction on every listener, and Meshuggah, doing what they do, makes it a pleasure to be a musician, makes it a pleasure to look live within this way, surrounded by feelings x3

  • *Nod*

  • yes

  • So stoked.
