  • Proof that this isn't a kids show. What 5 year has seen the old starwars movies, seriously?

  • @DRAGOON2ONIONKNIGHT buddy, in this day and age, kids grow up knowing that darth vader is lukes father, its common knowledge. if there is a 5 year old out there who hasnt seen the original star wars, their parents fucked up.

  • @robthestoner001 Truth be told, my Star Wars knowledge is based around the prequels. I never got into the original series. I was always the Lord of the rings nut, and never really got into space Si-Fi to begin with. (Although I like Dr who, which is strange since you could technically call that Space Si-Fi.)

  • @DRAGOON2ONIONKNIGHT ok, what? what do you mean never got into the original series? star wars knowledge is based on the prequels? lord of the rings is cool, but im sorry to say, you have failed your life. you dont base anything on the prequel trilogy except that obi wan kenobi is awesome and so is liam neeson and darth maul. thats it. period. the original trilogy is star wars. the prequel trilogy is just what happened before. and its DOCTOR who, not DR Who! and yes doctor who is science fiction.

  • @robthestoner001 WOHWOHWOH! Don't get all butthurt on me dude. I have the old star wars, not to mention I have, like, 60 Year's before I become incapable of making any choices and have to get my ass cleaned by some bitch doing community service!

I WATCHED the old star wars back when I was like, 5 okay? I watched the prequels when I was 8 or something. And I remember that the most because I've seen them a hundred times back when every kid wanted to be a jedi. Gawd those were the days :'(

  • @DRAGOON2ONIONKNIGHT im not butthurting, im just amazed at how much of a failure you are. if you've seen the prequel trilogy a hundred times then that is why you have failed life. the prequel trilogy fails miserably in comparison to the original. "not to mention I have, like, 60 Year's before I become incapable of making any choices and have to get my ass cleaned by some bitch doing community service!" what in the name of holy fuck are you talking about?

  • OH GOD

  • Internet Box

  • even ponies have to ripoff starwars

  • They defeated a Star Trek villain so they got a Star Wars Ceremony :D

    Ponies > Logic

  • im not a geek or a nerd or anything like that. im just a normal kid and i love star wars...

  • REALLY!!!!????

  • Lol I was thinking the same at that mlp ending

  • So

    Leia + Chewbacca = Celestia

    ?

Makes an awful lot of sense to me :0

  • @PrinnyBlack

Furry princess? yea, i guess it does work.

  • GRATS ON MAKING STAR WARS GAY TOO

  • @kangaxx You proud of yourself? You proud of what you've done there?

  • @kangaxx u realize that this was the exact scene in MLP. MLP has just about every reference to classics ever. Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Star Wars, Gone with the Wind, Big Labowsky. It's geared for people in their 20s-30s and maybe older.

  • You just defeated a Star Trek villain? CONGRATULATIONS! I know exactly how to end this adventure!

    - Trollestia

  • I am so glad I am not the only one who noticed that! :D

  • XD More stuff's happening on the pony side. Everyone's just standing around on the Star Wars end! lol

  • That is hilarious.

  • The only missing thing in this video is we needed the star wars and mlp theme to mix haha

  • @notadoublenagger lol What did he just say about prejudices

  • I knew it!

  • FIRST THIS, NOW AN INDIANA JONES REFERENCE. SWEET JESUS

  • The force is strong with Lauren Faust.

  • I love MLP so much.

  • in the newest episode they have a bttf refrence

  • @cdmaster35 Eeyup. "What's the matter, Granny Smith? Chicken?"

  • @klystron2010 "what did you say sonny?"

    "if you're so sure o.."

    "WHAT DID YOU SAY NUUIIIGAA!!!!"

  • I knew I wasn't the only one who noticed this.

  • Man i knew that the scene was a reference to the ending of A New Hope, but I had no idea that it mirrored the original scene so much!

    Faust, your amazing

  • NO.

    BUCKING.

    WAY.

How does the argument that this show isn't amazing even hold up anymore?

  • @AdditivePlacebo I know right? How can someone say this is for little girls? Strawberry Shortcake is for little girls. And does that have awesome pop culture homages and Looney Tunes like humor? I don't think so.

  • i fkin loled

  • First time I saw that scene in MLP, my immediate thought was star wars.

  • Next up, a feature length MLP movie, Discord Strikes Back

  • LOL

  • I'm no brony--But I do admire the quality of this show, and this is pretty cool :P

  • I knew that the end remembered me somethng... I was no sure what, but I knew it! (Sorry, bad english)

  • @Davemon115 celestia=leia

  • Oh, man. They even got the wink in there! :O

  • Holy shit

  • I KNEW IT

BUT KNOW OF THE BRONIES BELIEVED ME

  • This. This is why My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is an awesome show. So many freaking references! BWAHAHAHAAHAH!

  • Celestia = Chewbacca.

  • Does that mean that what Twilight has is the force, not magic?

  • Haha I knew it xP

  • Holy crap. Did not think of this. Maybe because I've never seen Star Wars. Yeah, that's probably why. But that is amazing.

  • I KNEW IT!!! I FREAKING BLOODY KNEW IT!!!!

  • Excuse me while I wipe my brain matter off the walls

  • @NeroAlan

    He, he.

    Well Done, mate

  • 0:57 lauren faust / george lucas

    FTW!

  • sopa is now canceled :D

  • @MsPocketMonsters What about PIPA? U STILL MAD? CUZ I AM.

  • jajajaja xDDDD

  • Not a 100% perfect match, but enough of one to be quite convincing! (Especially the Luke/Twilight wink.)

  • @tobascodagama also the Applejack/han solo wink

  • @netulv

    So, Applejack is Harrison Ford.

She have a hat like Indiana Jones, don´t you think ?

  • :o I never noticed!

  • I knew that it was a reference to this when I first saw it, but shit, I didn't know they were this similar.

  • @Dungeon287

Actually the star wars clip in this video was editted a bit to fit the MLP scene.

  • Omg! They show The Doctor from Doctor Who as a poney twice, essensially bring in Q from Star Trek, and now I know that they referanced the ending of Star Wars... Good God! lol These poeple must love Science Fiction! I know I'm not complaining!

  • @a87370ylgrc Not just twice, Doctor Whooves is a common background character. Not to mention several of the Doctor's re generations showing up in the background. The Big Lebowski came, I Love Lucy's Chocolate Factory is coming up, California Gurls parody, iPhone commercial parody, Stephen Sondheim's song Putting It Together was played with minor alterations, Anna Wintour has shown up as a pony, there are WAY too many references to name.

  • If you watched the "BroNYcon 2011 Q and A" they say that this scene used to be a frame by frame copy of the ending scene of Star Wars, but they had to cut it down for timing reasons.

  • Dear lord... Between this and the Big Lebowski reference I will never look at MLP the same way.

  • Epic...

  • [](/b32) Star Wars made 20% cooler

  • Triumph Of The Will wanna be's...

  • Yep! They know what people watch this show :D

  • I realized immediately, especially when the music continued into the credits.

They weren't kidding when they said they were going to accept bronies.

  • Prejudices... We all have them.

My Little Pony is for girls, Star Wars is for geeks.

    The opposite is actually true,

My Little Pony has about 80% male viewers (It still needs to be 20% more ;P)

Star Wars was originally designed for men, only the fandom (opposite to bronies for mlp*) prove that it's for geeks

*Bronies say that mlp is for men, the world does not believe them, "geeks" say Star Wars is for geeks, the world does believe them.

  • @TheOnlyPopjie123456 god damn it now i gotta go watch this gay show

  • @TheOnlyPopjie123456 I disagree with one bit, though. Friendship is Magic -should- have wider and even bigger audience, rather then just more males. I mean, I love the show, and if I had a daughter I would much rather have her exposed to these type of role models then other ''glitter, glamor and giggle''-girl show characters.

Friendship is Magic is for everyone, shame on you, silly! <3

  • @TheRealBlackPuma Well, I don't have the official numbers, so I said 80% just to make the 20% joke.

  • @TheOnlyPopjie123456 Are you kidding me? People is not THAT stupid, everyone know start wars and Lord of the Rings are epic manly movies.

And My Little Pony IS for little girls, and anyone older

  • @TheOnlyPopjie123456 MLP doesn't have 80% male viewers. the people who watch it over the internet are about 80% male. little girls watch it on television.

  • @TheOnlyPopjie123456 Just wondering where you got that statistic, if you can could you pm me a link?

  • @megaepicname I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this was merely a pun. But the big majority of viewers are male.

  • No luna in this Ending ;_;

  • Mind has turned to mush and ideas of a star wars pony crossover has come up... use the force Twi

  • Comment removed

  • MIND = BLOWN

  • Woah.

  • Who are those people on the right? They're getting in the way of the ponies.

  • luke saves ecuestria :o

  • Totally a show for little girls.

    Totally.

  • me gusta

  • 0:12 Celestia = ...

  • I'll, allow this

  • Hatters gonna hate

  • Now make it with Star Wars sounds playing.

  • take that haters!

  • Even the transition to the credits...

This is THE most epic thing I have ever seen.

  • @Shankalten but by watching this video you have watched clips from both and have therefore watched them. You didnt say you'd never watch the show or movies, you just said never watch them. And you did watch them. Therefore your comment is completely invalidated.

  • @TheSimbie /]*[\

  • Seems a legit reason to be a brony.

  • Mind=Blown

    Jaw=Floored

    This show=Awesome

  • Not gonna lie, Star Wars was running through my head as I watched that episode.

  • I actually didn't realize this until I saw this video and it blew my mind.

  • @FilAm4494 really?

    xD

    I noticed it right away

  • So I guess Princess Celestia is equal to Chewy?

  • @cheesewheel Chewy doesn't get a medal. How sad.

  • Internet Box Podcast!

  • THE FUCK! THE FFFFUCK!!!! GODDAMIT THE FFFFFUCK!

CHOCOLATE RAIN!! STARWARS ENDING ESCENE!!! TROLOLOL NEEDS TO APPEAR IN THIS SHOW!!! and maybe THE DRAMATIC CHIMPMUNK!!!

  • Gotta love Faust. ^_^

  • no! no! no! no! fuck no! just fucking no! im gonna go kill some motehr fuckers

  • @mmiker2d2 dude what

  • @Luy22 -darth vader- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • I used to take arrows to the knee,

then I got better knee armour

  • awesomeness.

  • ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS O.O

MY JAW IS DROPPED x3 LOL

  • I love how the entire episode was a vague reference to Star Trek TNG, and the ending was a direct reference to Star Wars Episode IV. It's like they're deliberately trying to piss of opposing fans. This is amusing...

  • In James Earl Jones' voice, regarding any chance I might have at this point of not checking this show out: "It's... too late for me."

Eagerly awaiting a closer patterned after the Ewok celebration at the end of VI (original song, of course).

  • People, this is not an accidental reference. It is a proven and intended reference. The song used in this My Little Pony scene is EXACTLY the same as the song in Star Wars. Using the same song and almost exact scene by scene replication cannot be a coincidence.

  • This is why My Little Pony is so damn good.

  • @Usopprun345 Copying and referencing random stuff? Many animated shows do that all the time, like Family Guy.

I prefer original content, since it actually takes effort.

  • @suplextrain ...there's a difference between 1) plagiarism, 2) parody/satire, and 3) homage. Family Guy tends to do 2). This clearly is a case of 3).

And original content includes both 2) and 3), yanno. There *is* a difference.

  • @emblemew1 It doesn't matter what you choose to call it, they're all uninspired when they simply copy something.

  • I just love all of the references that MLP FIM is doing!

I mean star wars, doctor who, the blue angels, and referencing to themselves a lot.

But I'm not complaining, in fact I love all of these references!

  • Family Guy did it better

  • @toplinefool444 BLASPHEMY

  • @toplinefool444 family guy sucks BCC

  • @rcbasher101 haters gonna hate

  • conspiracy!!

  • UURRRRRRRR~URRRR

  • thanks so much for posting this!

  • and I will never watch either star wars or mlp.

  • So this only proves that MLP copies from other shows?

  • MLP totally copied XD

  • Sooo Basically,

Star Trek Plus Star Wars equal to My Little pony Friendship is Magic!?

  • Excellent send-up. MLP grew up in the last 25 years. :3

  • Princess Celestia = Wookie :D

  • Celestia is apparently a Wookie.

  • I see what they did there......

  • I had to smirk when I first seen this part on MLP. I caught it right away and lawled saying "OMG they ripped on Star wars!"

  • Lol chewbacca fits in perfectly.

  • How did I miss that?!? God I am so disappointed in myself.

  • Those sneaky fuckers....

  • Mother of god...

  • When I see a grey Fluttershy I call her Flutterbitch...

  • Lets be Honest, who else shed a manly tear while you were watching it for the first time?

  • AppleSolo's wink killed me.

  • Man, I hated this scene in Star Wars. It was just too cheesy. Nice reference though.

  • > Defeat Star Trek Villain

    > Star Wars Ceremony

  • @EmtyThe1st > Profit

  • I love comparisons.

Creates so many opportunities for parody.

  • Wow! LOVE the comparison!

  • Epic nerdgasms were had. SO MUCH WIN.

  • SO MUCH WIN!

  • O lol.

  • Of course, this means that a show for little girls accidentally referenced Triumph of the Will.

  • @AkaGenya1 I was afraid someone would point that out >_>, but I would upload another video if it were shot for shot like Star Wars. But I don't know if people would take too kindly for pointing out the similarities between Ponies and Nazis.

  • @KhalidSMShahin Ah, don't worry. If one of my favourite movies can survive a good thirty-four years with a Nazi reference, Friendship Is Magic should be A-okay.

  • @KhalidSMShahin say wha?! O..O

  • @AkaGenya1

Not....really? The scene from Triumph of the Will doesn't actually resemble the throne room scene except in the sense that it's a big ceremony. The only reason anybody would make a connection is because some youtubers thought it would be funny to put the SW music over the scene.

  • @Heavensrun

Nope, the point's been made way before. There's a site called Star Wars Origins (google it) that made the connection before Youtube even existed. A lot of movies reference Triumph of the Will (I think Gladiator did when the Emperor put on a big march in Rome or something).

  • @AkaGenya1 My point stands. The only connection between the scenes is that they involve large ceremonies where people walk down a central aisle surrounded by soldiers. The shots aren't that similar, the ceremony isn't really similar, the people walking aren't being exalted as leaders. Whatever similarities are there are superficial and easily dismissible as coincidental. Unless someone can point me to a more quantified analysis, I'm calling BS on this one.

  • @Heavensrun Applejack winks just like Han Solo. HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE IT?!?!

  • @MrInsaneA I....do see it. The Star Wars/MLP parallel is incredibly obvious. If you read what I was responding to there, you'd see that I was commenting on someone's assertion that the original Star Wars scene supposedly parallels a Nazi propaganda film called "Triumph of the Will".

  • @AkaGenya1 I mean you might as well argue that nearly every large western wedding ceremony ever is a reference to Triumph of the Will, because they have just as much in common with it as the Throne room scene in Star Wars does.

  • @AkaGenya1 I'm pretty sure we have enough film material to make MLP clips that roughly resemble any movie.

  • @AkaGenya1

And that would be a problem? Leni Riefenstahl is one of the most talented directors of all time.
