  • I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE your reviews. I have become obsessed with fragrance lately (I'm on the hunt for a new favorite perfume), and your reviews are the most thorough, accurate, and entertaining that I have watched. Not to mention, you're so gorgeous! You look a bit like Mira Sorvino to me. You also have the softest looking skin ever! I'm not sure whether or not you take requests, but could you review Poppy by Coach? Thanks, and please continue making videos :)

  • @FM897 Wowie, what a tribute - thank you! You made my night! I shall put Poppy on my "to do" list.

  • I bought 200 ml Coromandel.

It is love at 1st sniff. I will so 'beautiful' and 'luxurious' wearing it.

  • @taewittawat It really delivers, doesn't it?

  • I just tried this... oh YUM.

  • @wegajane Yes!

  • Several of the male fragrance reviewers (including me) split a 200ml bottle of this one recently. I'm pretty sure we all love it.

  • @rhaybans Success all around. Satisfaction guaranteed.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Absolute satisfaction! haha. Do you care for Cuir de Russie eau de toilet?

  • @rhaybans I've never really warmed to it. I've tried many times over the years, but we've never clicked.

  • hello Katie. I like your videos!

I have watched (I hope) all your videos. Why the incense is your favourite note ?

I have BLEU DE CHANEL and (after many hours) the base note is INCENSE, patchouli and ceder and I always remember you..."ooohh incence".

  • The most elegant dirt-of-the-earth scent I've ever smelt!

  • @domperrier Yes!

  • i absolutely love this stuff.

  • @cformosa4 Yes yes yesssssssssssss!

  • Coromandel = Musc Ravageur Eau de Toilette.

  • I recently purchased Coromandel after stumbling into the Chanel Fragrance and Cosmetics Boutique, buzzing with excitement upon seeing the Les Exclusifs line. This is probably my new favorite perfume! It has incense, vanillic-amber, and patchouli. Basically my recipe for olfactory bliss. I'm realizing that most of my perfumes are Orientals. I'm slowly becoming a Prince of Sheba! Oh, I tried Coromandel because of your reviews. And you were right!!!

  • @brianbarrtt All hail the Prince of Sheba! I couldn't be more pleased that I was able to direct you towards such a satisfying fragrance.

  • I'm lol at how many views and comments frags such as Princess by Vera Wang have vs more complex fumes such as this.....ah well.....more for us!

  • @xandria20 Right? Well, YouTube is dominated by 13-year-olds, so there's naturally more traffic on my mainstream reviews. The kids just don't access to the ritzy-titzy stuff.

  • I wore this to work one time and someone kept saying "I smell cinnamon" when I was around. I am pretty sure it was me. I like it though.

  • @redlily00 Yep, there's certainly a sprinkling of cinnamon in there somewhere. And a bunch of other stuff.

  • Hi Katie ;; im in love with Chanel 22 , do you know of where i cqn find this perfume for less ??? also what do you think of beige? chauuu

  • @MrRic2828 I think Beige is...well, "beige". It smells tepid and perfumey, in an indistinct way. It's not for me.

Chanel No 22 has been absorbed into the Les Exclusifs line, so you'll have to pony up for one of those jumbo bottles at the Chanel boutiques and certain high-end dept stores and duty free shops.

  • Oooh this sounds lovely too!

  • This one is my personal favorite.

  • Will bear this firmly in mind. Thanks.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Just the way you have described it, The Lady and the Tramp.....makes it my personal fave as well. And I have yet to smell. I'm determined to purchase before Christmas! :)

  • Hi, katie, great vid ^^

Yesterday i tried channel N 5 , and tought it was a bit to 'grown up' for my taste. Is there any channel perfumes that are a bit more 'youthful'? I'm 15 years old, by the way... =)

  • angel, mosey on over to my Chanel No. 5 Eau Première review to get the lowdown on that one, cuz that's the perfect starting point for youthful Chanel perfumes. You're absolutely right, No. 5 eau de toilette is too "mature" for a teenager, but the Eau Première version is lighter & sheerer.

Also check out Chanel Chance eau Fraiche & Cristalle Eau Verte, both of which are light and sparkling. And give Cristalle eau de toilette a sniff while you're at it - that was my fave perfume when I was 18!

  • MMmmmm I just smelt Coromanel TODAY for the first time every and it's so sensuous. It really stood out for me in the Chanel private collection. I agree about the amber and incense on the dry down that's a very good description.

  • I concur that it's a standout in the Les Exclusifs collection. And isn't that drydown amazing? It keeps developing, and it lasts such a long time. Smells really good on your clothes the next day.

  • HOW I appreciate your reviews--too many distasteful reviews by people who KNOW NOTHING about perfume at all. They think Huge Boss is the best thing around! Ahhhh

  • Hi Katie =)

A friend of mine has just bought a perfume called J'adore by Dior and said it smelled amazing.

I don't know anything about the perfume... have you tested it? if so, did you like it?

  • Well as i s a man i did not try it, but my Mum had it as a sample and I must say that it's really good !!! Very floral from the top notes to the middle notes. Then the base notes get in my opinion more woody... So yes, it s really good. But on the other hand, here in France, lots of girls and women wear it, so... i would say it s not funny to wear the "everybody perfume'... Just my opinion.

  • J'adore is a very feminine, frilly floral. Ultra girly!

  • Katie,

I just ordered this on your advice, we will have to wait and see how it mixes with my two sides.

    Thanks Again

  • Oooh, what a wonderful treat you've given yourself. Coromandel is such an unusual and fascinating oriental perfume. It continues to change and morph throughout its journey on your skin, and the drydown is glorious. When I wear it, my clothes smell amazing for days!

  • I love this frag. But my fav out of the line up is n18. It's like nothing else out there (thank goodness). They are all so special!! Thanks Katie for your thoughtful and totally side-spliting reviews. :)

  • Thanks for allowing me to split your sides! In honor of you, I just put on a little No. 18 to revisit it. It's so dry and mysterious, isn't it?

  • I think I smell your videos! You really make Perfumes and Fragrances interesting!

  • Could you review some other Chanel perfumes? I find that I almost always like Chanel's fragrances.

  • I plan to, soon!

  • have you ever thought about QVC? I could pull some strings, Katie

  • Yeah, me and Johnny Rotten, right ;-)

  • I adore this Coromandel. It's in my top 10 must haves.

  • I'm enraptured by it.

  • can you do a review for coco mademoiselle!!!! btw luv your videos

  • Thanks! Am working on Coco Mademoiselle now. Hope to shoot it before too long.

  • "when i'm being all fancy!"

you're hilarious, on top of being incredibly well-versed in all things aromatic. thank you.

  • I do try to keep on top of my aromas! Thanks for your comment!

  • thank you for inviting me to this channel! I love it. Would be interested in reviewing missoni and moschino fragrances?

  • I really like your reviews!! Very descriptive and fun!

  • Thanks very much!

  • Took me a while to get to the Chanel exclusive line...but they actually had the collection at my local Nordstroms today. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, along with Sycamore, and there was also a floral/woody one that I liked. The only not so great part was that the SA was hitting on me and gave me their number. I mean, I try to be a nice guy, but I don't want to send out the wrong signal ([Cough] American Beauty)

  • Interesting to hear that the line is branching out beyond the Chanel boutiques. Hope that continues.

Re your mixed signals: just chalk it up to charisma!

  • Ahhh yes, but that person was a guy! I'll take a compliment where I can get it though. As far as the line, It's not "quite" branching out, as they informed me (Was at the Canoga Park Nordstroms, by the way) that the Chanel "cabinet," as they like to call it, was only available in six stores throughout the country, besides the Chanel boutiques.

  • Yeah, I figured it was a guy by your "American Beauty" ref. I agree, take a compliment where you can. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, indeed.

OK, so the Chanel "cabinet" isn't so much branching out as "twigging" out, but it sounds like they're exploring wider distribution. Maybe they'll sell some of the more popular ones in smaller bottles, to make them more accessible, price-wise. As for me, I know I'll use every drop of my Costco-sized Coromandel, because it is exquisite!

  • I adore Coromandel and love even more that it comes in the whopping 200ml size. I don't have to worry about it running out - and I love smelling it on my guy as well! He won't wear it out but I will sneakily spray it on his house t-shirts when he's not looking.

I would LOVE Chanel to come out with a set of all the exclusives in 30ml sizes though....

  • My perfume pen-pal, Dan, cites Coromandel as one of his very favorite fragrances, so there's a guy who voluntarily wears it, unlike your man! But you're doing him (and yourself) a favor!

Wouldn't that be great if Chanel brought out Les Exclusifs in smaller sizes? (Even if that made them less "exclusif".) I want more people to discover and wear them!

  • I found this one too close to Shalimar to be worthy of a purchase - though it is lovely, I agree. Bois Des Iles pour moi!

    Love your videos!

  • Bois de Iles is GORGEOUS! Re Shalimar vs Coromandel: Coromandel does have that oriental vanilla vibe, but I find Shalimar more milky and thick and almost sour.

  • More Chanel perfumes please - Coco Mademoiselle, Allure, Eau Fraiche, etc.. :)

  • I'm on it!

  • Could you possibly do one for YSL Cinema, it's one I like so I know how it smells, lol, but I am very intrigued as to what you would make of it? x

  • Thanks for the rec. I appreciated being pointed in new directions. Do you have the eau de toilette or the eau de parfum?

  • something very "Lady & The Tramp" that I've found is Lulu Guinness's Cast A Spell - very spicy at first but somehow sweet at the same time. Intoxicating, yet nice & light when you're looking 4 something complex to wear w/jeans as opposed to silk.

  • Oh, that sounds nice! I do love those "split personality" fragrances that seem to morph magically into different moods.

  • O my goodness,, I really liked your review, I am going to go and find some, to smell it for myself,,,, Thank you.

  • I love scents and your reviews-brilliant!

  • Cheers indeed! Thanks for making me smile.

  • great job

  • Thank you kindly! Calling all Fumeheads (current and future) to subscribe!

  • I'm definitely going through an Oriental obsession at the mo...trying to rip my nose away from those heady resins to provide more of a well-rounded overview of what's out there!

  • I love the Lady in the Tramp analogy! Very my kinda gal too! I personally prefer Oriental scents. They really smell yummy on the skin! Rock, or rather, smell ON Katie Puckrik!
