I Disliked this video not because of what it shows but because the person sharing the video is misleading and bs he was doing his job not showing bias :S
The officer can "agree" with something to end a train of conversation, or to de-escalate a situation, or simply to try to build a rapport with people. He's not rushing in and beating people, or telling people they can't protest when they legally can, etc, so what's the problem?
I'm going to assume that "Canbuhay" and "ctolenti" have no commonsense and very little intelligence. This Officer simply laid out the rules to ensure no one was going to get hurt.
Give you head a shake. Wake up. I'm sure both of you guys are unemployed and scam the welfare system.
I read that this group wasn't part of the student body so did not have to follow the agreement.
But I think it's absolutely ridiculous for them to try to block the display which was already hard to view due to the required U-shaped set up. Lifeline would never pull a stunt like this.
@rgs650 He didn't tell the protesters to move. The pro-choice and pro-life students at UBC had an agreement to respect a buffer space so that both sides' messages could be seen. These abortion advocates said they didn't have to comply with that agreement because they weren't UBC students. Rather than moving them, the RCMP officer let them continue their blockade and instead nicely chatted with the campus censors. Would he have done the same if it was pro-lifers blocking pro-choice signs?
@Canbuhay On what basis could he have removed them? This protester was not a member of either club and had made no agreement to a buffer zone. His job is to prevent harm to the people present, and to prevent damage to their property. He made sure she had no intention to do either. Maybe if UBC had requested she move he could have removed her for trespassing, but UBC didn't do that.
And this is hardly a blockade. Is it really an overwhelming burden to walk 12 steps around the sheets to see GAP?

If a cop says "the kkk spreads hate" is he being biased?

Yeah, I don't see the problem.
This video showed a pleasant RCMP officer having a conversation with a protester, who was protesting peacefully.

How is this 'Flagrant bias by the RCMP?'.

Yeah. The protester was pretty cute. While I'm sure the officer wasn't trying to meet her, I wouldn't blame him if he was!

He was a very kind police officer. I think you should be happy you got a nice officer like him.

Absolutely shameful. Another ideologically driven left-wing group trying to stifle debate and open discussion on campus.
It's disgusting.

Have the pro-lifers complained against these pro-aborts yet?
Canbuhay 1 year ago
If these were pro-lifers violating an agreement on campus, the university would have kicked them off using the police.
This is no professional police officer. This is a purely biased officer who should be ashamed of himself.

This is the most professional police officer I have ever seen. He should be given a raise and promoted immediately!

The police are there to "save life"?
Why aren't they raiding and shutting down the abortion death camps then?
