  • the game isn't really that hard to beat, considering all the levels, it just takes time, quickness, and memory. but the real challenge (which is damn near impossible) is getting to this level with 2 players!

  • Really? Pimple doesn't have a custom sprite in the Sega version? (Also the Sega version's ending suck compared to the NES' one, thought the NES one is harder, so it's balanced??)

  • @bamwuwuwuw You're playing as a toad.

  • Oh the irony!!

  • oh.mand..when I was young, I gave up at the jet rat stage. congratulations. This was one of the hardest game I ever played.

  • @joseraysouza now play i wanna be the guy

  • As hard as this game was, they could have at least slipped in some boob at the end. It's not like anyone saw the end for around 10 years. I never beat the tower, those damn wind things drove me nuts.

  • @Demonfeed actually battletoads had a good ending, but on the NES, sega fucked up the ending.

  • FEAR ME TOADS and my two frames of animation, bwahahahaha.(I mean its genesis they could've at least added a few more frames of animation, but still in the end the bosses don't matter the stages and stage music does :D)

  • They could've at least kept the little cut-scene from the NES. It's not much but better than nothing...

  • So....thats what was in store for me?....after destroying my damn childhood with the jet bikes level all to fight a 20ft stripper and...thats it.

  • WORST.

    ENDING.

    EVER.

  • WOW for such an insanely hard game it sure has a pathetically easy boss

  • @rockworm503 LOL aint that the truth!

  • At the end it said SEGA, but Battletoads isn't made by sega and the 1st one came out for the NES I still have my copy.

  • Which game is it? What console?

  • @bamwuwuwuw

    "THAT'S A HUGE BITCH!!!"

  • is this nintendo?

  • @asddsdsssd yes, it is nintendo :D

  • @xXxMicrosoftSamxXx it isnt nintendo. its Sega MD/Genesis

  • @asddsdsssd

    no sega genesis .

  • @aryinc i was asking dint you see the ?

  • @asddsdsssd

    yes i was replying.

  • damn she was allways sexy, so why attack her? we she stop good and evil and do stuff that church goers whouldent do.

  • omfg that cheap ending... what a disaster after beating such an hardcore game. lame.

  • @bamwuwuwuw Well, they are just toads. Maybe they're just small?

  • I played this game when I was around 7, i could get past level 3, nuff said.

  • They should have just made level 3 the last level, it would have made more sense

  • she needed some...

GREEN DICK IS BETTER THEN BLUE DICK!!!

  • @blckjade05 why not blue?

  • The fame played better on the NES 8 bit just like Battle Taods and Double Dragon. nothing wrong with the 16 bit.. they made it easier at parts but the game played better on the nes plus the Dark Queen wasen't huge in the nes verison either

  • Well I must say I've expected more action from the final boss. Nevertheless, congratulations on completing that hardcore game.

  • Genesis version doesn't have the rest of the ending or what?

  • It is a lazy port. Doesn't have half of the ending, the opening (the spaceship going towards Ragnarok), the whole story intro, the introductory scene in Level 1 (with the toads getting off the Vulture), and neither the Game Over funny screens and dialogues. It wasn't done by Rare, so that explains everything (BT & DD, on the other hand, was done by them and doesn't lack anything). Sega licensed the game and outsourced it to some programming studio to do the porting effort.

  • Well, even without all that stuff, I still enjoy the Genesis version just as much as the NES version.

Plus doesn't the Genesis version have an original track for Terra Tubes? as opposed to the NES version reusing another track from the game?

  • Both versions reuse previous themes for that particular level, but different tracks each other. Terra Tubes on the Mega Drive version reuses the Intruder Excluder music. On the NES version, it reuses the Surf City music.

  • Ah I didn't pick up on that, I guess.

    Not sure which I prefer.

I'm a Sega boy at heart, so I just absolutely love the Genesis sound, even if lots of people tend to put it down, and side with SNES.

  • now that i saw this now i remember wasting like 57 hours playing this... now i say i wasted 50 HOURS TO GET TO THIS BITCH AND IT HAS A STUPID ENDING

  • OMG. AA game with a legendary difficulty has such a easy final boss? That's bullshit.

At least she's hot though. Maybe they thought that she'd give erections to the gamers and gamers would stop thinking and lose. Haha. Who knows?

  • if you ask me, it makes perfectly logical sense that the Supreme Evl Mastermind waiting at the top of an Enormous Death Tower is, in fact, not amazingly powerful. If she were amazingly strong, what would she have to be afraid of?

Then again, I doubt that any single design decision in Battletoads was made out of "thematic consistency".

  • I've always thought that too.

  • SheMale

  • 0:42 lol!!!!!!!!! Pretty funny watching some green dude run up to a chick and unload a massive soccer kick on her and send her flying.

  • wow thats the most unimaginative final boss ive ever seen for such a long and difficult game, couldnt she possibly do anything else than spin around like that, maybe shoot something, change forms...what a rip off

  • Fuck the difficulty, fuck the graphic

DRK QUEEN IS HOTTER IN GENESIS O_o

  • Wow, the NES version is actually superior! At least Pimple has his own individual sprite!

Love the BS ending. Here I thought the Sega version was better.

  • haha i stick to your comment;

"I guess they figured no one would actually make it that far so they didn't need to bother with a good ending."

  • Wow...even the NES version had an actual ending.

  • This was a lazy port in that regard. No Intro, no Opening, no Ending after the final speech scenes, no Continue/Game Over speech scenes. At least it preserved the in-between levels dialogue, a thing the Game Gear version didn't.

  • who's you're favorite battletoad? zits rash or pimple?

  • i don't know; i kind of prefer the one who's named after a skin condition

  • I guess they figured no one would actually make it that far so they didn't need to bother with a good ending.

  • @neogeon

Actually, for old Nintendo games this wasn't too bad an ending. It beats just seeing a mistranslated text screen or a Game Over screen when you beat the game. This one actually took a couple of hours to make (maybe).

  • @Casanuda First of all, this is the Genesis version. Second of all, I am more well versed in NES games than you could possibly imagine. Still, a static picture of the final boss with some weak text is a pretty shitty ending after beating a game as hard as Battletoads.

  • @neogeon actually they thought if you win thats enough for you, be happy and bye :p

  • @neogeon Probably you can max out the score in level 4. Rare was pretty demented in their early days.

  • great game but wtf is up with that ending???? this is my first time seeing somebody beat this and it ends like that? all of those hard ass levels and the final boss is garbage! WOW......lol

  • just to say you beat the game is enough and the great thing about youtube is you can prove you beat it.

  • I doubt it's a legit beating... look at the score. :P And in "part 1" it says "state 1 loaded", so, save states and cheats--- on an emulator. I beat this on NES as a kid, but must've took me a year :P

  • wow..... the evidence mounts... the makers were seriously on crack!!!!! Just fucking with everyone the whole time. Making it impossibly hard and in the end, they give an anticlimax. I am actually afraid. I couldn't appreciate this when I was 8, but man, this is fucked up.

  • At least they could have given Pimple his red-brown toad sprite instead of that green one which makes him identical to Rash. Although I believe the NES ending was already this way.

  • say man so hard work phuiii ,that game was and is still pain in the ass

  • Wow....I can't believe all that hard work and that crappy ending...

  • soy de Argentina,

    es mi juego favorito

    junto con CONTRA HARDCOPS ;)

    idolo,

    chau =)

  • They could've updated the graphics a bit more, but the gameplay is still rockin.
