That's where the movie "Nightmare on Elm Street" made its biggest mistake... the main character spends several days without sleep and still at the end she is able to think of an sharp way to defeat Freddy Krueger

She does appear to be disturbed by the lack of sleep, but not as much as a person would actually be :)

A regular person would die from starvation in 2-3 weeks.

While no matter how much he eats, he would still die in a week or less, without sleep.
