This is trully one of the best lines in the entire film. It speaks volumes about society then and today. Many of todays degenerates sit smug because they have a similar outlook. This scene was probably rehersed for 12 hours- it shows.

@coralarch I recommend you try and pick up the clockwork orange special edition with an extra disk of special features. Kubrick was not just about rehearsing but exploring territory. What we see is no doubt the end result of lots of trying and testing. The home invasion was apparently shot over two days until Kubric asked Malcolm if he could sing. It might be on youtube but I'd go with the disks.

@Strider1978 Do yourself a huge favour and RUN to the nearest DVD store and buy it! I've seen it at least 2000 times, and always marvel at its exquisite crafting and complex narrative. Gorgeous, gorgeous film! Every scene is a masterpice of composition- and the actors really do seem to have stepped straight from a Gainsborough painting. Stunning, overwhelming experience- best viewed on a huge screen, but don't let that stop you enjoying it at home. Let me know what you think of it!
