I think what is interesting about this whole scene is Viki's reaction to it. I had forgotten until I read some back recaps but this was the first time Viki had had sex since before her psychotic break after Sloan died. After that, Clint had been trying to get her to be intimate and she ended up being treated for sexual dysfunction because she couldn't even entertain the thought of sexual feelings. It makes sense why she was so awed by what happened. She rediscovered whole self again.
