Good times over there? Depends on your unit, mission and job I guess. I don't recall very many good times myself. But I do remember him doin this song on karaoke nights.
I was there 06-07 with 3d PERSCOM. You pretty much nailed it on the head. I don't envy the guys up North with the IED's and mortars and crap, but AJ had its own unique hardships. Being in the middle of a horse and pony show being near the top of the list. Got to go to Afghanistan in Feb - MAr 07, wish I could have stayed there the remainder of my tour.
Yes...the horse and pony...but this is sarcasm. IEDs were no joke (I ran the roads) but important top shelf decisions like whether to wear the IR flag or full color flag made life "fun" in AJ.

civilian contractor at Camp AJ and had a blast, I was able to come and go so that made it a bit better. cant wait to go back
