wtf the lady doesen't know how she should sing this song, which is a popular Roma song. The other name for "Ederlezi" is "Djurdjevden", which means "Day of St.George". So, I love you, italians, but don't mess with things which you simply don't feel the right way and don't sing as it deserves, even if the lady has a very beautiful voice. It simply doesen't fit.

Sergio, you might will appreciate macedonian version of the song by Tose Proeski. Type simply Durdevdane Tose Proeski in youtube. He was the best singer of traditional music from Balcan. He died young, few years ago in car accident. Enjoy!

why SHOULD she sing the song in a way you've already heard before? i love this song, i've heard many versions, some worse, some great. i agree it doesn't convey the bittersweet life of traditional gypsies, but it's not that bad.

i think it's a good thing that people start acknowledging gypsy culture. even if it's a bit "western-ized", we all could use a taste of their feeling of freedom.
