I took two Theater classes in school, which were full of people who watched Whose Line, and only the instructor recognized Snagglepuss when I did an impression. And it probably wasn't my fault, I got a compliment from the teacher on the performance and when I identified and explained Snagglepuss, everyone was clueless until I brought up Whose Line, and even then they had no clue he was something besides a character Chip Esten repeatedly portrayed.

I can't believe the writers for this cartoon snuck this crap past the radar...on a kids' show...in 1959.

Also, notice that when he says "Exit...stage left!" at 0:35, he goes the wrong way. "Stage left" and "stage right" refer to the direction from the point of view of a performer facing the audience.
