here are the 3 measures that will be on our ballot next yr:
Ultimately, only three measures - a proposal to ban affirmative action, another to ensure Arizonans the right to choose their own health care plans, and a proposal mandating the right to vote in secret on labor-union issues - endured the legislative process to a successful conclusion.
All three measures passed floor votes in the House and Senate without the help of a single Democrat
Senators voted on June 22 to put a referendum on the 2010 ballot that would change the state Constitution to allow Arizonans the freedom to purchase and provide health care services of their choice without penalty.
The referendum, carried by Republican Rep. Nancy Barto of Phoenix
Excellent. The state's have the ultimate power to make these decisions, not a Centralized Federal Gov't, according to our Constitution. I love to see some of the independent states like AZ taking a stand against a Gov't that is overreaching its Constiutional powers.
I live in AZ ... this thing will pass on the ballot hands-down.
Also, ( I don't know if my previous post got through) But, If i were a Representative in another state, I would also consider the possibilty of Insurance companies, Doctors, Facilities, etc. would flood into a state that had more Freedoms / choice. And you would then most likely get better medical attention if needed.
I believe this is AZ House bill HCR2014 if anyone is searching. AWESOME! Great Job AZ! If the left forces a Government Run Health Care system onto the nation, then at least they can opt-out. :-) Of course pending the 2010 ballot vote, which will pass, probably by 80%. Anyone wanting freedom of choice will vote Yes.
