Maybe you just aren't familiar with the concept of bis gearing in hard core raiding. You get the best stuff available, period, if it means doing the hardmodes, of course you do the hardmodes. Hardmode ulduar = ulduar when you are talking about hard core raiders.
Ok ok, i missunderstood ur original post. Bcs i did this fight while wearing some naxx25 stuff, ulduar normal, ulduar hardmode and TOC245 gear. THIS fight is really accessible with any type of gear, so saying that OMG they had ulduar gear when someone says he pulls 10k dps doesnt mean anything.
Btw, you missunderstand what BiS is... BiS doesnt mean its hardmode gear, ilvl 239 doesnt always > ilvl 226. And 258 heroic does not always > 245 heroic.
BiS = Item that is the biggest "UP" for your dps. Which is why some heavy 258 hit+arpen items for a mutilate Rogue are worse than an 245 item with heavy crit+haste stats... you get it? LOVE
Well, you had 5 weeks with 1,2,3,4,5 bosses every week, it means 15 boss downs and 60 loots in total (more or less), same for toc10, so you get 60 lvl 245 and 60 lvl 232 items + stuff from ulduar, basically you can stuff a whole raid very quickly. If you include ToC crafts its even more. You can have an already good stuff by the time you reach this encounter.
The best thing about this video, is that they missed a shield. they healed. and they STILL killed them. my guild did this and they hit the berserk timer lolz

of course the dmg is absorbed, the shield has to take a certain amount of dmg, which it can ABSORB until it breaks and the spell can interrupted. Switching portals costs time and you still do more dmg nuking instantly on the shield as compared to switching portals and then dps.
The fact that it has been around since naxx 40 doesn't make them the first that found out about it.
And it isn't intended to be able to soulstone half your raid by just lvling up a few warlocks. I expect to see a removal of achs / items / ban soon. Blizzard tried to fix this by limiting the amount of buffs you could enter a raid with, but apparently that didn't keep people away.
Abusing broken designs = Exploiting and exploiting isn't a tactic.
If this was looked at abuse the would've fixed it sooner! Sauna(former Stormreaver guild, migrated and now core of Paragon) did this in early TBC(Magtheridon server first is one of the times that comes to mind, and I think if Blizzard looks at this as anything more than "clever use of game mechanics" they would do something about it.
It is hard to find a fix for this since they can't disallow warlocks to soulstone even if they are in the raid. (20 Warlocks in a raid, only 15 can use Soulstone)
Putting a raid wide soulstone and let it expire when someone uses it seems legit to me.

You get a buff in this fight making more dmg on one of the val'kyrs so high crits is nothing ;) we did this one too and my shred crits was as high as 20-25k. Good job anyway!
its funny seeing how gear scales so well with DPS, remember when i was still playing during ulduar hardmodes and 6k odd DPS wasnt bad by any means, just a few upgrades and a small raid later and 11 people are on an easy 7k +
If you look closely people in the video break 10k DPS. This is a very easy thing to do on this fight as you get a damage increasing buff, this stacked with the buff you get when you collect enough orbs will easily push you up to and over 10k.
ahh my bad, looks like im blind heh. must have somehow missed it at the beggining where a dk even reached 11k. hmm so how much does the buff here increase damage by? on average that is. would you mind giving me benchmark figures for the latest content? as i said 6k in ulduar was very acceptable, would i be right in thinking anything up to 7 maybe 7.5k for said classes would be a decent benchmark atm?
I don't know exact figures you get, but my DPS went from average of 6k up to 9k on the fight. The damage buff you get when collecting orbs will grant 100% increased damage for 15 or 20 seconds.
Look at the video, and tell me where anyone died. Even if they did the ss tech it doesn't matter. Obviously you're hating on them cause your guild can't kill them and or you didn't think of it yourself.
They might not have used it in this video, however, the ones dieing were the ones without a soulstone. And got ressed by druids / ankh.
And even if they didn't use any Soulstone, they DID apply them, which means they would one shot the encounter, even if someone did something wrong, which gives them more tries for Anub'arak. Expect to see a "World's First Paragon - Anub'arak" video with a shit ton of soulstones.

My guild in bc used "clever use of game mechanics" on a'lar by having a troll priest use class appropriate spell(don't really remember what it was) that cut the hp by 20% when he rezzed himself in p2. If Blizzard really finds them to be cheating as do you, they will remove server firsts from them etc. I've seen it.
Yes, exploiting was an overstatement, however they are not playing the game as it was intended. You can call it "Clever use of game mechanics" or whatever, but the fact that they have all their fuck-ups saved by soulstones, means they have more tries for anub'arak, if they didn't use soulstones they would probably have 10-20 tries left, in this video they have 45 tries left.
We can just wait and see what Blizzard does about this.
Top guilds like Ensidia did not use this and were still at 45+ tries, and that should count more as a first kill rather than someone applying soulstones to half of the raid.
EVEN if they didn't use them in this fight, they PROBABLY used them on the other fights.
You see all the cooldowns to the left? That's the cooldown on the soulstone of the warlock's name. And to the right you can see 15 offline warlocks :)

its funny seeing how gear scales so well with DPS, remember when i was still playing during ulduar hardmodes and 6k odd DPS wasnt bad by any means, just a few upgrades and a small raid later and 11 people are on an easy 7k +

If you look closely people in the video break 10k DPS. This is a very easy thing to do on this fight as you get a damage increasing buff, this stacked with the buff you get when you collect enough orbs will easily push you up to and over 10k.

ahh my bad, looks like im blind heh. must have somehow missed it at the beggining where a dk even reached 11k. hmm so how much does the buff here increase damage by? on average that is. would you mind giving me benchmark figures for the latest content? as i said 6k in ulduar was very acceptable, would i be right in thinking anything up to 7 maybe 7.5k for said classes would be a decent benchmark atm?

I don't know exact figures you get, but my DPS went from average of 6k up to 9k on the fight. The damage buff you get when collecting orbs will grant 100% increased damage for 15 or 20 seconds.

Look at the video, and tell me where anyone died. Even if they did the ss tech it doesn't matter. Obviously you're hating on them cause your guild can't kill them and or you didn't think of it yourself.

They might not have used it in this video, however, the ones dieing were the ones without a soulstone. And got ressed by druids / ankh.
And even if they didn't use any Soulstone, they DID apply them, which means they would one shot the encounter, even if someone did something wrong, which gives them more tries for Anub'arak. Expect to see a "World's First Paragon - Anub'arak" video with a shit ton of soulstones.

Which is fine. It's not an exploit. As I've mentioned, you are just bitter(For many reasons.)
It doesn't alter the fight(or boss(s) in any way shape or form so it doesn't matter.)
My guild in bc used "clever use of game mechanics" on a'lar by having a troll priest use class appropriate spell(don't really remember what it was) that cut the hp by 20% when he rezzed himself in p2. If Blizzard really finds them to be cheating as do you, they will remove server firsts from them etc. I've seen it.

Yes, exploiting was an overstatement, however they are not playing the game as it was intended. You can call it "Clever use of game mechanics" or whatever, but the fact that they have all their fuck-ups saved by soulstones, means they have more tries for anub'arak, if they didn't use soulstones they would probably have 10-20 tries left, in this video they have 45 tries left.
We can just wait and see what Blizzard does about this.

Top guilds like Ensidia did not use this and were still at 45+ tries, and that should count more as a first kill rather than someone applying soulstones to half of the raid.
EVEN if they didn't use them in this fight, they PROBABLY used them on the other fights.

You see all the cooldowns to the left? That's the cooldown on the soulstone of the warlock's name. And to the right you can see 15 offline warlocks :)
