  • intriguing workpiece, good demo

  • All of your videos are extremely interesting. The quality of the machining is flawless!

Could you enlighten me how the machined processes the parts? Do you give it instructions as from doing A then B, or the software accepts the CAD model and figures it out for itself to machine the part?

    Cheers!

  • nice work, good video quality

  • This "motorcycle component" looks like it would cost more than most motorcycles. How long did the whole thing take?

  • Salutations BipolarAxeMan,

Indeed the component would cost alot - but for certain sections of the market the money is not the issue - the uniqueness of the component & the ultra accurate quality & immaculate surface finish are.

You would be surprised how many bespoke products have components machined from solid on them now.

    Cheers

  • This vid just gets better and better for those that know what has been achieved with this machine. I want one!

  • Great machine! Is the table direct drive..?

Does it have constant surface speed..?

  • Greetings CNCIT,

The ultra robust DD turning spindle motor

was designed in house by Matsuura, & the DD C-Axis Motor achieves high positional accuracy during Milling & high speed rotation whilst Turning. A table rotation speed of 1,800 min-1 assures

exceptional surface finish in cast iron or steel.

Thanks for the question - & sorry for the delay in answering.

    cheers

    RMF

  • How is the workpiece held on the pallet?

    .

  • Greetings Kathump,

Cool name - like it - 1960s Batman fan?

The CUBLEX-42 has a round 300mm pallet with a series of precision tapped M12 holes in it. The workpiece is firmly & accurately located on the pallet using these holes.

    Thanks for the question.

    Best regards

    RMF

  • top vid, top machine i have to agree with our firend fastcutman - the machine is more impressive than the video - i think it is seeing that huge billet get slung around and milled and turned to perfection in real time that does it.

please let me know about the next open house - did you say october 09?

    thanks again.

  • hi rmf - the video of the cublex is nowhere near as impressive as the real thing!

thanks for the invite to the open hosue, i know we are not in the market for machines right now but when we are matsuura will be hearing from us.

    cheers mate

    fastcutman!!!!

  • Hello RMF,

Thanks for the day at your Open House - a great achievement in these times to get so many punters there. It certainly boosted our confidence to see so many other UK and EU compnaies there planning a way out of the mess.

Superb Open House - congratulations and well done - and thanks for the info which arrived at work before I did!

  • I can't help but wonder: why is this piece sometimes drowned in coolant and sometimes not at all?

  • The Flood Coolant is normal operation, the coolant is then turned off to show the machining taking place.
