I loved the way they'd write the names of the badguys with a 4 instead of a Y. Like BALD4. I knew it was a 4 because in only one instance they did it correctly.

CLASSIC.

I spendet many enjoyable hours with this game in my childhood & I still have this game on my collection. It's truly one of the best games on the PS1 in my opinion & I think many would agreed with me in this.

Also this game get's what games should be:

Light on story, more action.

I don't mind about cutscenes between levels, but I'm here to play the game, not to watch movies.

This was and still is a great game. But let's clear one thing up. No one ever owned a PSX. The PSX was a prototype that never saw store shelves. What everyone means to say is the PS or PS1. Or you just call it the Playstation like it's meant to be called.

This was a game which i 'should' have liked more than i actually did. i loved these kinda golden axe/streets of rage kinda games, so i ooekd forward to this one, but when i finally played it, something was kinda missing or so. Not sure, but it just did not do it for me. It was allright though, but just not that stunning. I remmeber i thought the camera was kinda annoying...like how it moved the whole time

Though it's going to be a pretty tall order to make one better than Streets of Rage Remake(I was never able to play it, but it had everything: A reunion of all the playable characters, plus some new ones, 8 alternate endings, and different routes that change how the game goes).

alana is the best character to use because she has the largest special bar and has decent speed and power....hawk is the most well-rounded but his special bar drains so quick and mace has the fastest combos but she loses damage the easiest and smasher big and burly but slow so expect to get hit using him.....the most challenging route is takin the park and naval base...mall and air base is the easiest route....but on hard the bronx and park are equally as hard except the park you cant hide

damn... I'm stuck on the Navel Base boss... A big robot that electrocutes me when I get close and shoots at me me from a far! It also takes away half your health when you get hit. Argh! :(

@videogameobsession All you need to do is pay attention to the shadow on the ground when he go up in the air. Just dodge the shadow, run over to a barrel and give it a toss. Next to Final Fight and Streets of Rage 2, I think this is the best beat em up fighting game ever.

I never knew this game was a Streets of Rage successor. At any rate, when I had it, it was fun, but the problem with this game was the redundancy of the enemies. I could forgive the camera angles because this was like genesis for full 3-D games like this. It's kind of like a characteristic of the game.
