@riddler820 Yes, he's in the Ultimate Match edition of KOF 98. He appears as a final boss with the Boss Team as Sub-Bosses. Goenitz is as cheap as ever

The arranged version at the beginning sounds like it should be in an army introduction. The rest sounds like he should be in a church. (Ironic how when you dress him up in black in '98 UM, he really does look like a dark priest. o_o)

Actually Goenitz is a pretty god fearing person. In one of his win quotes, he says "May God Bless You" or something to that extent, in one of the KOF artbooks, one of his stated missions is resurrecting Orochi for the glory of God and one of his images from KOF 2002 shows him reading the bible.

Yes, he is. His intro quote is "Sa, kami ni inorinasai" or "Now, come and pray to your god".

His quote before his DM is "Kore ga shinbatsu desu" or "This is God's punishment". But, most of his sayings of the word 'god' are lowercase, meaning there's some leeway as to which god he's talking about. He himself serves Orochi, the child of Gaia, the mother-Earth.

Someone below us mentioned that this track is just a small part of the track from the KOF '96 AST, with certain parts cut up and re-arranged. I couldn't verify it myself, but that's the best explanation I've heard.

@drunkenmaster226 the 96 PS1 had this track. However, the retail AST had some windblowing effects added, although it was the fullest version you could get. The PS1 track was divided into two parts.

IIRC Kof96 was one of those games that had CD audio for soundtrack. If you weren't playing the game on a PS1, you could pop it in on a CD player and listen to the tracks.

This is a remaster, of a remix, of his original theme. Wrap your head around that x.X

The Original Theme is from KOF 96, which featured an arranged version. This is the arranged version, however it has a different start to the song and a loop is missing from the middle (unless you shortened the version you uploaded which it seems you did).

There is also yet another remixed version from the KOF 2002 UM game.

This version is better than the 2002 UM version to me. The drum solo in the beginning is soo sick. A perfect song for a general of Orochi.
