Now this one jerk is putting on one of these "judgement houses" at the million dollar church north of town with NO age cutoff limit. I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I've never even heard of a "Hell House" before this video. It must be a "Bible Belt" thing...?
I love how a child under the age of 18 can't go see an R-rated movie in this country where a man/woman's natural physical anatomy is depicted on screen, yet a 12 year old is freely subjected to that kind of mentally scarring filth.
The Bible Belt mainly consist of the southern states spanding from Mississippi to Texas to Missouri to Virginia. There used to be a Hell House near where I use to live,which showed scenes from horror movies (scream,the hills have eyes,texas chainsaw massacre etc) and the 'tour guide' would say this is a representation of "blah blah blah sin". It was much like the hell house showed in this video but it wasn't in a church and the sets were much more realistic.
I found the Hell House to be deeply disturbing, yet I also couldn't help but chuckle at it as well. Basically it's saying "Yes kids do not think for yourself! Follow us! Join Us! Become one of us!" TOO CREEPY!
It is terribly sad that religious people can easily criticize we atheists as being evil and immoral yet we cannot criticize them without fear of retribution. Jobs can be refused to us, apartments as well (I can speak for that myself). I am sure many other incidences of injustice have also occured. It is sad, religion's method of "persuasion" is to kill and convert forcefully. I highly doubt that any sensible atheist would kill a religious person in the name of non-believing.
Haha, Apparently a lot of kids who audition for Hell Houses would rather play demons than angels. That's awfully telling, I think Keenon is a little diluted about what kids are taking away from this. I realized something when he says "Abortion, homosexuality, sin is a CHOICE". All religious bigotry is based on a belief in the religious notions of free will and retribution. We atheists have to realize that the best way to kill religion is to strike at its heart: By killing free will. We don't need a belief in free will to be happy or good and we'd be better off with out it, it was a religious invention anyway (Aquinas thought it up). I gave up free will, you can too! Jesus loves gays like a parent loves their child, in the same way a parent wants their child not to walk in the street so they dont get hurt. He is love. Not directly but it does refer to many of the same stories and characters. It also uses the same points. But it doesn't really matter since no one should blindly believe anything you are told. Only logically verifiable facts should be acted upon. That being said I haven't read the Qur'an just like I haven't read any other religous texts. The fact that they are more than a thousand years old tells me that they can't be all that reliable. We have learned a few things since then ....

After all, before the third trimester (even sometime after it) there is no sign of cognition and sentience in the fetus. I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I've never even heard of a "Hell House" before this video. It must be a "Bible Belt" thing...?
I love how a child under the age of 18 can't go see an R-rated movie in this country where a man/woman's natural physical anatomy is depicted on screen, yet a 12 year old is freely subjected to that kind of mentally scarring filth.

The Bible Belt mainly consist of the southern states spanding from Mississippi to Texas to Missouri to Virginia. There used to be a Hell House near where I use to live,which showed scenes from horror movies (scream,the hills have eyes,texas chainsaw massacre etc) and the 'tour guide' would say this is a representation of "blah blah blah sin". It was much like the hell house showed in this video but it wasn't in a church and the sets were much more realistic.

It is terribly sad that religious people can easily criticize we atheists as being evil and immoral yet we cannot criticize them without fear of retribution. Jobs can be refused to us, apartments as well (I can speak for that myself). I am sure many other incidences of injustice have also occured. It is sad, religion's method of "persuasion" is to kill and convert forcefully. I highly doubt that any sensible atheist would kill a religious person in the name of non-believing.

Haha, Apparently a lot of kids who audition for Hell Houses would rather play demons than angels. That's awfully telling, I think Keenon is a little diluted about what kids are taking away from this. Also, with so many parody and purely theatrical versions now being performed around the US, I wouldn't mind seeing one of these for myself :D

I realized something when he says "Abortion, homosexuality, sin is a CHOICE". All religious bigotry is based on a belief in the religious notions of free will and retribution. We atheists have to realize that the best way to kill religion is to strike at its heart: By killing free will. We don't need a belief in free will to be happy or good and we'd be better off with out it, it was a religious invention anyway (Aquinas thought it up). I gave up free will, you can too! It was hard though...

when i was 5-7 my family members often tend to traumatize me with those hellfire visions! i remember the time my cuzin took me to a catholic church on sunday, and the spottiest area of the church is that it has a mural that depicts the terrors of hell, i can still visualize those grotesque dragons torture naked souls! <*augh* too much disease for a child i was to handle it on,..im just glad ,now that im 18 i cured that catholic disease, thanks science and reason :)

Jesus loves gays like a parent loves their child, in the same way a parent wants their child not to walk in the street so they dont get hurt. He is love. Sin is not a thing that hurts God, it is a thing that hurts us. Sex is made for making children, science shows that. No true christians "hates" in general anybody. Jesus loves us and wants us to reign with him in paradise. In fact you dont even have to be perfect to be with him! Thats why he died! But you have to want him and try to not sin

I am sad you believe this. Science does not contradict God. And the bible says their are many who call themselves christians, but are wolves in sheeps clothing. I pray for those people, that they may see the love Christ had for us. I love non-believers. If they truly want to be one with God and love others, then they will be given a chance to accept Christ. No where does the bible say the world was created 10000 years ago. Its just uneducated christians claiming to know what the bible is saying. Not directly but it does refer to many of the same stories and characters. It also uses the same points. But it doesn't really matter since no one should blindly believe anything you are told. Only logically verifiable facts should be acted upon. That being said I haven't read the Qur'an just like I haven't read any other religous texts. The fact that they are more than a thousand years old tells me that they can't be all that reliable. We have learned a few things since then ....

@karakzanreal :bro as far as i know quran is preserved in much more reliable as it's Judaic counterparts....we knw it was memorized in the times of prophet..there are some traditions which tell us tht prophet himself passed the copy of quran to his successor....even the accent in which we read quran(hijazi) was secured in the days of third caliph...both shite and sunnite sect agree on the authenticity of quran and they dnt have sunni quran or shia quran.

@fahadwifi Since many children in the Muslim world spend 2 years of their childhood learning the Qur'an by heart and given that it is written in verse form it would have surprised me if it was more accurately transmitted down through time. That of cause becomes irrelevant when you allow yourself the freedom of thought to assume that is not a holy text. Then all sorts of other mainly political reasons for the text suddenly becomes clear.Of cause this is frowned upon and therefore religion persist

@aARIESsSs Giving Dawkins probable knowledge of prenatal development (I'm sure some biology class required for his degrees must have touched on it), I personally am not. After all, before the third trimester (even sometime after it) there is no sign of cognition and sentience in the fetus. In fact even pain perception is more present in underdeveloped early births, than in those late in the womb. Much occurs in the birthing process itself, not simply the passage of time.

I admire that Dawkins realizes that the Christian myth is a meme (cultural gene) trying desperately to preserve itself. The extremism shown by Pastor Roberts' is evolutionary effect. It will survive if it fits the environment.
My worry is that this extremism could be better fit to survive than scientific understanding, particularly in the post oil era man is destined for.

You make it sound like we're some Christian bastion, when, in fact, we're actually quite moderate in our belief (which is better than blowing up people for our "god", yet still not cured fully). In fact, I'm quite glad that youngsters have forgotten about going to church regularly, the longer they stay away the better the chances of them getting cured by the virus that is religion.
