The date of this concert was October 1, 1978. Chet Helms put on a hippie-fest style festival and called it A Tribal Stomp at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Country Joe & the Fish, It's a Beautiful Day, Lee Michaels, Big Brother & the Holding Co and more. The reunited Paul Butterfield Blues Band was the headliner. Michael never showed up for practice but hell, listen to him. Guess he didn't need it. Long live Michael Bloomfield!!!
WOW....the soul of Mike Paul and the harp sure was a shinning this night! Thank god for this recording!! And thank u Mr. T....Crabshaw don't care ( what a voice).
Elvin is a funny mother f er. He is talkin' at the end of the song.

A little overlong. The album version is tighter and the vocal impassioned.

Who ever would have thought these guys would get back together 10 years later. 11 years for Bloomfiled. One of the good ones I missed.

Thanks for sharing.

Just delightful, but it has a softer more mature feel than the earlier PBBB which I still view as industrial Blues, hard times and anger.
If they had been able to stick together this is where they would have gone.
