The date of this concert was October 1, 1978. Chet Helms put on a hippie-fest style festival and called it A Tribal Stomp at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Country Joe & the Fish, It's a Beautiful Day, Lee Michaels, Big Brother & the Holding Co and more. The reunited Paul Butterfield Blues Band was the headliner. Michael never showed up for practice but hell, listen to him. Guess he didn't need it. Long live Michael Bloomfield!!!

Just delightful, but it has a softer more mature feel than the earlier PBBB which I still view as industrial Blues, hard times and anger.

If they had been able to stick together this is where they would have gone.
