  • INTRESTING RESER ;)

  • I recently got this tgame and I am using an oldish (but goodish) racing wheel and I cant even stay on the track when I am on easy if I drift I go too far and if I brake I am too slow. I also get off the track a lot are there any tips at all?

  • yeh thanks :) driving goes a lot better now ^^

  • my steering doesn't go that well what are the settings to get the the best steering effect? please anwser

  • @donnickos I just use standard steering settings. I mainly play this game with a Logitech Rumble Pad 2. There's a trick to the steering and works in most racing games, but requires you to use a manual transmission. It will not work using an automatic. Watch the 1st half of the video and pay attention to the tachometer on the right. Specifically, gear changes, gas indicator. The top right white bars. And brake indicator. The bottom left white bars. I'll further explain in next reply.

  • @donnickos This can also be done with and xbox 360 controller, but I prefer the button configuration to have the gas as A, the brake as X and the top trigger buttons as manual transmission shifts. Quicker response times for my driving style.

  • @donnickos The trick is as you're about to take a corner, just as you turn in. Quickly (but not too quickly... depends on the corner) take your finger off the gas. Tap the brake. Drop a gear or two (again, depends on the severity of the corner). Floor the gas again. And steer into the corner (counter-steering) This intentionall throws out the rear end of the car and power slides around the corner. On mild corners just letting off the gas a bit helps without the need for brakes.

  • @donnickos Sometimes its wide and needs to you to intentionally wait before counter steering allowing the car to continue drifting. Sometimes intentionally steering into the corner (opposite of counter steering) to maintain the drift longer. Sometimes tapping the gas a bit to stop yourself from spinning out... It takes a lot of practice, but there's no better way to corner in this game. And must be done with Manual Tranny. It's impossible with an automatic. At least in my experience.

  • @donnickos Automatics don't down shift the you need it to, to perform the power slides effectively. I figured out this trick back in the days of Gran Turismo 1. It's worked in every racing game I've ever played since then. NFS series, Juiced, Gran Turismo, Grid, Dirt 2 etc.. It's worked for all of them. Same principals... Just tweak it for each games quirks and handling (physics) and they become considerably easier to beat. Hope this helps.

  • @donnickos Also one more note... Be careful with the power slides in certain situations. Sometimes if done wrong in some situations will cause the car to regrip suddenly sling-shotting you into the opposite direction of where you want to go. Anyway... You'll figure it out.

  • still one of the best looking racer games, still the best damage simulation in a racing game, and easily the best arcade racing game

  • nice i love this game one of the best racing games ever made!! love it on PC especially

good job uploading 1080p vid of it!
