Ofcourse she knew the baby didn't want the milk at that point. I don't get why she would drink a little and assume the baby will change her mind after she's drank a bit. She just wanted to drink the milk full stop. she was happy the baby didn't want it. Why couldn't she get her own drink. May be they had put restrictions that she couldn't touch anything and so she had to hide and drink baby's milk.

Don't waste milk. Have no problem with this. Looks like the baby does not want the milk but it hard to tell as maybe she was teasing him but I am pretty sure he just would not eat and she decided not to waste milk.
