  • gracie #1

  • fighting is truly an art

  • Awesome.

  • But your arm was busted?

  • HD FTW

  • Fighting with Hate is an ugly thing

  • @DontPissMeOFF Agreed. That's the difference between martial artists and punkasses, though.

  • @Wrestler71479 Fucking moron. I'm a martial artist and I can tell you that if "fighting" is the height of your being, you are a primative.

  • Enzo osu!!!

  • "Fighting is everything", no truer words have been spoken concerning MMA.

  • "Fighting is the best thing a man can have in his soul"

  • thanks for posting this. i never saw it when it aired. It's nice to see a reporter coming at this subject with an open mind. plus it was nice to see the mention of Saku :)

  • His voice is funny

  • I'm glad to hear that the Gracies brought their art to our shores "a few years ago". I was beginning to think the 80's were in the past.

  • gracies are fucking crazy

  • the best thing he ever said..fighting is the best thing, you wake up from from bed is fighting

  • Decent society?

  • Yeah Ford fucking sucks!!! Sowhat does that mean about gracie?

  • Renzo OSU

  • I think of How Royce was when Matt Hughes had him in that one submission and he didn't even tap when the average fighter would, and the fight wasn't stopped either. That's why I respect the Gracie Family, I also Highly respect Miletich and MFS.

  • love renzo's attitude

  • When was this 60minutes?

  • Finally a commentator that calls the sport MMA instead of Ultimate Fighting. You dont know how many times I've seen people say," I train UFC" or "Is MMA like UFC?"

  • @Pebric Thats so funny... I would just look at them with a blank stare...

  • "Fighting is actually the best thing a man can have in his soul." What a quote!

  • "Any sport with a move called flying guillotine is never gonna be for everyone." hahahahaaaaaa love it!

  • Miletich is a fucking cock...He always has a go at British fighters for there lack of wrestling skill.... funny how he wasnt at MMA Live after 114 to comment on Hathaway`s destruction on Sanchez.

  • Pat Miletich isn't literally Croatian, he's just of Croatian descent.

  • @wetwilly0 how is Pat Miletich not croatian? Im sure you can tell by his surname!

  • @damina1990 Because he was born in Iowa.

  • @wetwilly0 It depends how you read it. I was born in Australia, but do not classify myself as an Australian and many other people are the same. I carry my fathers surname, I speak his language fluently, so thats what I am. Its the blood.

  • @damina1990 That's why I said "literally".

  • renzo gracie philosophy is right. fight for ur rights!.

  • OK! A question?

Wrestling..USA 'Dominated' - was the '''ULTIMATE'''! (Until they lost!!! Then it became OLD NEWS?!)

Bushido..USA 'Dominated' - was the '''ULTIMATE'''! (Until they lost!!! Then it became OLD NEWS?!)

K1..USA 'Dominated' - was the ''''ULTIMATE'''! (Until they lost!!! Then it became OLD NEWS?!)

MMA.. USA 'Dominated' - was the '''ULTIMATE''! (Until they lost!!! Then it became OLD NEWS?!)

UFC...USA 'Dominated' - was the '''ULTIMATE'''! (til they lost!!! Then it became OLD NEWS?!)

    NEXT?

  • LOL, Renzo is awesome. Love his attitude.

  • THIS TAP OUTS ARE BORING TO SEE

  • he have Croatian surname....

in my city are very, very much people with Miletich surname...

  • maybe because he's croatian

  • i didn't know that...

  • siroursly dude his nickname is the croatian sensation

  • Pat Militech has the greatest life story ever. Read the book, "Blood in the Cage." They need to make a movie on Pat.

  • I'm reading it now. It's so good so far.

  • extreamly good point on everything in life is fighting in a merophorical (duno how to spell it) kind of way.

  • my boy

  • Renzo is just the right blend of gritty yet classy MMA really is.

  • Its the warrior spirit that drives real men to win or die. It is this mentality that separates real warriors from the rest of humanity.

  • its how they are brought up they would rather have their bones broke rather than be tapped out as they have to much pride in their jui jitsui

  • besides if he did tap whats the point, he might as well keep fighting because his arm is broken at that point, but its ok most of the time to tap, it probably save you

  • LOL!

  • Super journalism, he even joins the training a bit. That's comitment. The is the only good interview/piece on MMA that depics the sport the way I think it is. Good job 60 minutes!

  • That is the best story of mma I ever seen

  • Wow good stuff from Renzo, I didnt know about the story with Sakuraba, but i did know sakuraba used to make a name for owning the Gracies

The reason he didnt tap was more about not tapping to guy called " The Gracie Killer " than anything

  • @PocketHercules99 Saku is actually the "Gracie Hunter". the "Gracie Killer" is Wallid ishmail.

  • Renzo is fucking intense.

  • @zedrein18 renzo should be a philosopher

  • Pat looks like a fat Lance Armstrong

  • Pat is a stud.. He is really feeling it now adays.. When you talk to him, you can tell he hurts.

  • 3:45 bug on shoulder

  • LOL!! Reminds me of Troll 2.

  • Dude you must Iranian like the Iron Shiek. He goes beserk too spout a bunch of bullshit.

Link us to a video of you then, with the date written on your chest wank master Fadjii

  • Busy right know dude, porking yo sister...

  • Calm yourself sand nigger.

Aint got a sister must have been your mom you dressed up

  • If Fadj honestly thinks he could beat Miletich, and I think he is only joking, then he is sorely mistaken. He could not even survive a typical Wednesday sparring session at the Miletich gym. Not a chance. This is assuming traditional sport rules. Then again, if Pat had no rules you would also be toast. You could win if you had a gun and Pat did not.

  • Pat coul still probably unarm him and whoop his ass before he could pull the trigger

  • Well, maybe if Pat had some Krav Maga training and was in reach he could do the disarm. If you just shoot Pat, he will probably go down. Then again, if anyone could block a bullet, he could.

  • hah yes very true. very true

  • being good at playing jiu jitsu doesn't mean you're not a coward..it means you're good @ playing jiu jitsu

  • STFU!!!! You Internet Keyboard Warrior...............The only thing you beat is your dick every night..........Fagget!

  • I doubt it you pussy. I could knock you out in 5 and Pat could breathe on you and you would fall over in fear faggot

  • pitbul 103 thats real man. im feeling what ur saying. this is a great video. its gud how gracie isnt trying to convince any1 that fightings right. he just knows that is human nature. great video. thanks very much mate

  • I could listen to Renzo all day long. The guy is funny and interesting.

  • I agree, Renzo seems like a really cool guy.

  • renzo got his ass raped by penn

  • Remember though. It was Renzo one of the Gracie's that tought Bj all he knows about BJJ. You gotta give him respect. Maybe if Renzo wasnt as old as Bj the fight could of went the other way............

  • good vid, especially the part about accepting his punishment and not tapping, whew, gotta love it..

  • Just finished Sam Sheridan's wonderful book called The Fighter's Heart, and the reasons for fighting are complex. Fear, bad upbringing, appreciation of an art, meanspiritedness. There are so many reasons, but perhaps the biggest is the need for men to test themselves and answer the question: How tough am I? The truth is that there are no undefeated MMA fighters. There is no invincibility, but these fighters thirst for it. It's complex, to be sure, but it's also FUN, which can't be denied.

  • well put

  • Thanks. I spar because I am frankly bad at it. People tell me otherwise, but the first time I got hit hard, even with head gear on, I was shocked at how dizzy and disoriented I got. There is also the fear of getting beaten up and that "testing" aspect in a world that has been largely defanged of its dangers. In Krav Maga, you address those dangers three times a week and it challenges you in a way that hacking at a computer can't come close to.

  • Totally right man. One point I trained boxing, and was beginning to spar when I found out I had a pretty serious eye condition. Boom, sparing over, boxing goal over. I had wanted just 1 fight, enough to know what it felt like, just 1 (maybe more lol) to truly "know" something about myself. Through the years though I made my fight with my condition and have come back and have re-focused in careers to work with vis impaired people. Renzo is right you can find the fight in everything you do.

  • That's called having a glass chin.

  • There are many other ways to test oneself, go climb Mount Everest, it makes fighting looks very weak...

  • Go climb Mt Everest while someone is trying to beat you up. That's fighting. Both activities are similar. There is no rational reason to climb Everest. Everest is nothing more than a challenge, and we all need challenges. It's true that some guys define themselves by their toughness. I am not one of them. It's also true that some climbers define themselves by the peaks they have bagged. Fighting is just another sport and/or activity. There is also a practical self defense aspect to fighting.

  • Not really. They are both different challenges, different struggles. People who compete and succeed in their sport deserve respect. Yet it seems you neither fight or have climbed a mountain so be quiet while the men speak.

  • Buddy you read like you suck your own cock too much.

  • great vid, thanx!

I didn't see this interview on TV

    glad it's here to watch

  • 100% on that! thanks for the video.

  • cool
