Most MMA fighters came from wrestling; Judo or various other disciplines. It would only make sense to find out who the best fighter acually is to have them fight in MMA where both party's can utilize their full arsenal. They get owned in K-1 as well, they are far from the best fighters, boxers are only good at boxing.

Here some facts in November of 09. UFC did a show in Las Vegas. It sold 10,500 tickets. Thats a good number, but they had to give 1000 tickets away. Wherelse that same month also in vegas Pacquioa Vs Cotto sold out 15,000 tickets in a matter of days. On the subject of Pacman. He is the most googled And easily the most reconised pro-athlete in the world. UFC/MMA will never have that kind recognition.

Richard Schafer challenged Dana White to an audit and said Mayweather-Marquez would do bigger numbers than their UFC fight but Dana didn't release the numbers for UFC 100. He only SAID they did 1.6 Million homes but never backed it up. While Schafer on the other hand showed Mayweather- Marquez's crazy numbers. @ejones6286 Look..i dont dislike mma..but boxing is hardly a snoozefest..its seen off other so called "next big things" and mm will be no different. Boxing will continue to thrive..mma will not change that...there is room for both sports. Bisping himself said that maa practitioners boxing skills are sloppy at best with a very few exceptions. Also when we consider mma fights are, apparently 72% of the time, ended by a submission....well..for me..that would be boring...ground work ZZZ zzz ZZZ zzz

@ejones6286 boxers don't worry about that at all. it is a snooze fest to some, but not to others. i personally think mma is like a snooze fest, at least now a days, that's just because it's not my thing to be into mma. if i was, i'd prefer the older version of the ufc. through my eyes and others it is seen that the ufc has declined. that's just me. mma doesn't suck. it's just a different sport. you have your fanbase and we have ours. we don't have to fight. this old man doesn't represent boxing.
