Thank a lot for your very imformative post,,,, I'm a saxophone player ,, just bcos I focus myself in repairing i dont know how to play jazz ,, I play in marching band before.I really want to learn how to play jazz .. Would you mind give some suggestion ? Thank a lot here is my email ,, joelaccent@gmail.com
i agree you are very helpful and informative and funny which makes it easy to listen to instructions plus talented. wish more people would learn how to teach instead of just tell you how
I love your videos !! You provide very helpful information, and you are a funny man too. I thank you for your effort. BTW, which model of Theo Wayne mpc are you using ? I am currently using a vintage FL metal link, great mpc, but I want something even darker.
Anibal, great videos! Have you ever played a STM Link? I have a metal Gaia 7 and I really like it, but I find myself torn between my old STM Link and my Gaia. I wish I could just mush them together! Do you think you sound any different on different pieces? I know you will settle this once and for all for me. I'm counting on you man! ;-)
There are 2 things a like a lot.. it plays evenly throughout the whole range of the horn into the extreme and its flexible - its a dark mouthpiece that gets bright when you push it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a piece that can cover a wide spectrum of styles.
hi! That is exactly like the stuff we discussed in class. Please remind me again- b/c I forgot (takes a lot of refreshing)- the clicking represents beat 2 and 4 so beat 1 is right before the click right?
@APGR
What reed brand and strength do you use? You have an amazing tone quality!!!

Haha , funy man! I like the elastic band.
When I was a kid , my dad told me a joke about a band leader who had musicians all with rubber instruments. it wasa rubber band!

@joolsj funny thing... for me, the idea originally came from an episode of looney tunes which I remember watching as a child.

You turn the beat around in your examples with the metronome on 2 & 4. I know you are demonstrating swing but you've got to keep time.

Hey Anibal!
What do youy like especially about your AMMA mouthpiece? Would you recommend it to other saxophonists?

that sounds promising :) At this moment I use a Lebayle metal jazz 7 but maybe with an AMMA I can improve my sound

Work will do the same effect, but cheaper ;)

But still, Mouthpieces are an issue of preference, like everything else.

I dig the AMMA more than the Guardala in the other video.

I love the faces!!! Great way to teach people how to feel and the differences in how hard you swing based on tempo! (i'm a great fan of yours!)
