I'm very anxious to get a recording (preferably CD) of Jim Parker's original music for "House ofCards". Can anyone tell me where this might be obtained? please email tmcerlean31@hotmail.com--and thanks!
This morning I caught the bit at 0:55. (FU and Mattie on the roof). It was the first time I'd seen House of Cards, and was just mesmerised by FU's slimy charisma! That's what I call acting!
Can anyone tell me where I can download an mp3 of the theme tune to House of Cards? I know it's composed by Jim Parker, and it's possibly called Francis Urquhart's March, but I'm not certain about that. I can't find it anywhere so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This series just blew me away when it was shown on American Public Broadcasting! Just a couple of questions I have always wanted to ask any Brits out there, and confirm if my suspicions were right.
This all takes place n the near future. Is the King supposed to be a post-Queen Elizabeth II King Charles?
In the last series, it shows a boy of about 15 as the King. Was this supposed to be Prince William?
Yes...........I wondered about that too.........Micheal Kitchen did his best but didnt really look like Prince Charles........a very difficult role. Same for Prince William.........but then again this was 1990......theyve grown up a bit since then!
The truth is, not many people are alive who remember the last king......back in 1953.
It amazes me that no one is addressing the real cause of foreclosures. Mortgage fraud. Not on the part of the homeowner, but the banks. Banks don't lend money. Your signature on the promissory note creates the funds that the bank drafts a check made out to you which you instantly sign back over to the bank thus creating the loan account. Your signature on the note paid for the house in full. The bank merely inserts itself in the scheme as servicer of the loan. The BANK NEVER OWNS THE HOUSE.
I don't know why you comment here, it's not relevant to the English drama series House of Cards!
Still..... banks DO lend money, it's just that they pay it directly to the vendor (seller), or his/her agents, instead of to the purchaser of the house. (unless you're re-mortgaging your house on excess equity to raise cash).
The banks do not own the house until such time as they or whoever they've ceded their rights to (sold the loan to) foreclose on the loan.
Do you like MIDSOMMER MURDERS?

I love the fact that Dobbs, the author, deliberately (admittedly) decided that the initials of the name of the main character would be FU. :o)

House Of Cards and to Play the King are currently being shown on Yesterday. Fantastic gripping and above all briliantly cynical drama.

Yes to both questions! No actual names are mentioned but as you see Michael Kitchen did a blinding sort-of impersonation of Charles (ahem!) lol
