John should have stuck to the swamp music songs like the Old Man Down the Road. The later songs just didn't have the kinda sound that made him famous. John does and awesome job on guitar with Keith Urban on the video for Centerfield..check it out. Rock on!
when I saw ccr in 72 they used Kustom amps. John fogerty could use any amp, and he would sound like .... well, like John Fogerty. The sound is in his touch, his soul, his fingers. Ever notice that doesnt matter whether he's playing an old gretsch, a dot neck 335, a p90 les paul, or a PRS. You can tell its him playing before you every see him or hear a sung word ?
Another classic from "Blue Moon Swamp" which won the Best Record of the Year Grammy in 1997. "Ol' Dooly wants to dance and nobody wants to go home' This is a great video of this song.

I am 56 years old, been a Fogerty fan for....well you get My drift, the Guy hardly ages and still jams like the 20 something John C. Fogerty did. Bastard!
kick ass tune. DROOLING over that gold top. Theres some backstage footage of this gig floating around on YT, hes got a bunch of Marshall heads stacked up somewhere on the side of the stage. Gibson soapbars pushing an overdriven marshall = tone HEAVEN for days
Great song, he played this and a bunch of "old greats" at Gröna Lund in Stockholm this past weekend. Despite having minor soundmixing problems (ex: had to stop the intro to The night time is the right time and tell the sound guy to adjust the levels) the gig was AWESOME! A true legend who still delivers on stage, thank you Mr F for being such a source of musical inspiration!!
John- if you see this- please play 'Swamp River Days' in concert! Sounds a lot like the stuff from 'Green River'. (CCR's best, I believe, for what it's worth).
This tune plus "Bad, Bad Boy are my favorite cuts off John's Blue Moon Swamp album. Another triumph and an example of that caramel smooth maturity John has developed through the years. (with a pinch of cayenne mixed in.) A true legend in our time...and a great and wonderful human being to boot y'all.
@buckfuster I agree with you about Blue Boy, but I like Swamp River Days a lot better than Bad, Bad Boy. Many awesome tunes on that album, as I have repeatedly stated on YouTube.
I found the 'Blue Moon Swamp' cd at a local record shop, and had no idea it was so good! This is my favorite song off it. I'm so glad he does this one live. All Fogerty fans should get this cd!
Going to be there, as well. Wanted to see him a couple of years ago here, but fell off the roof and broke both of my legs, so had to pass it up. But, boy, am I ever looking forward to Monday night!
I really like this ytne. it' too bad he doesn't do it on tour.
thanks for posting this man, do you have any more videos of CCR that you haven't put on your youtube? if you do it would be GREAT if you could upload them, im 14 and my dad got me into this band they are amazing
