Is it hard to make such a song? It sounds great anyway. Sad they dont have an (SIMPLE) physics playground for the ds like oe cake for pc. Sadly enough the DS's hardware isn't that strong enough to simulate physics :(
At 0:29 you can see 4 instruments, they make up the drums and hi-hats. It's a very basic pattern with 4 instruments. But actually the song has 2 patterns, you just cant see the 2nd in this vid. It's only a minor change in the 2nd, added a few more hi-hats notes and an extra drum hit.
Besides that you have the synthesizer which you can see at 1:04. It's only got the 10 notes. At 1:10 is the place where you set it's sound. And 1:15 is the place you make it "dance" around.
So yeah, very basic. You can make it in 5 minutes.
The only DS physics game i know of is called "Professor Heinz Wolff's Gravity". You can get falling sand games for it too (homebrew). But yeah the DS is limited with that stuff due to it's (lack of) power.
The gravity game i find is lacking in quality. Very repetitive (and easy) levels. Had they made a "The Incredible Machine" style game, it would have been much better.
I used the DS with an FM transmitter to make it. But you can plug it directly into a stereo system, or your PC if you use a male-male cord (the quality is better too).
I have a G6DS Real and i loaded the save file from that in an emulator (i've only tried one).
The sound doesn't work well on the emulator so i recorded it off my DS using the male-male cable and my PC.
Then i synchronised it to the video i recorded of the emulator running my save.
does no one have on youtube have any full songs made with korg ds?

The video is just an illusion for youtube purposes. The sound comes from my DS, read the first comments at the bottom of the page.

Not nearly as impressive as actually working with a nintendo DS. If you really want to make music on a computer just get yourself some real software.

This actually was made... on an actual DS, in a car with an FM transmitter.
01DOGG01 3 years ago
So you made it on a ds, then made it on a pc to record this video?

Read the reply to the second comment, i described it in 2 comments.

Ey, a new physics game just came out for the DS. It's like "The Incredible Machine" if you've ever played that. It's called "Crazy Machines"

So basically...
1: Make song on DS / Stereo
2: Record audio using DS / PC
3: Make video using DS save / emulator
4: Synchronise audio / video
