Thats some great advice! Todays scouting and the discovery of an old logging road crossing a creek thats peppered with tracks from the last few days after the rain brought new hope for the coming days. It's going to take some time, but I know they're out there. I kinda get the feeling deer numbers are higher in the southern counties...maybe even south west of Marquette county.

Thats one more than the last couple times I've been out up here. I'm new to the area and having a tough time finding the deer.....I'll keep scouting though!  Good luck.

Finding deer in the big woods can be like a needle in a haystick. I started scouting river/creek bottoms, and started finding some trails either along the edge, or crossings in shallow spots. Most of my spots now are near a water source.
