I did this yesterday, worked fine. But this morning I open PS and the Adobe Application Manager opens as well. The App Manager says I have to enter another serial because the one I entered was "invalid" HOWEVER I can still use photoshop just fine, I just want to know if this Application Manager thing is going to become an issue?

in terminal i get an error that reads:

the document "hosts" could not be opened. the file doesn't exist.

Okay I must have messed up somewhere down the line because obviously i keep getting an error about my subscription. So here is what i did everything you stated. But i was unsure about the pasting thing part so I pressed enter in between the two on step 3 and pasted it. It wouldn't allow me to change it so I saved it as a duplicate (only way to add in the paste) and once saved, I closed it and finished the other steps. And now I'm clueless b/c it doesn't work. I tried redoing everything again

People having issues with editing the hosts file, right click it - go to the Security tab and select your username and press Edit, give yourself full control by ticking the box. Press Apply, re-open the hosts file. Copy paste the stuff from description in there, and press Save.
