One night in Berkeley California in 1993 or so, I saw The Vulgar Boatmen perform in a bar. I remember my brain going from "these guys are pretty good" to "wait a minute, these guys are great" to "I think I'm seeing the greatest show I've ever seen in a bar" to the encore, where they did a medley of Foggy Notion, I Can Hardly Wait and Roadrunner, when I realized I was having a peak experience. Looking forward to the film.
@ledocq I saw them the next night at the Paradise lounge In SF. It was indeed one of the best shows ever. I'll never forget it, glad to know my sense of it is shared. I still feel a chill in my spine at the transcendence of that show. Joyous rapturous rock'n roll...

My favorite all time album and band. This is one band that should have made it big. Tons of talent. Please Panic every song rocks.

Wow -- can't wait to see this movie!
Vulgar Boatmen are among my very favorite bands. "You and Your Sister," "You Don't Love Me Yet." Bunches of classics on those records.
