why didn't they just buy the original UK version of the series I mean we speak the same Language weather its in Manchester or Newyork I mean don't try and tell me the Americans can't understand English Northern Accents Cos I know that they do
Okay, so I'll admit that I havent' watched the American version. Can someone who's seen both tell me if the storyline is different from the British? Cause this clip is pretty much shot-for-shot exactly the same, which, if it goes for the rest of the show, seems to me to defeat the purpose of remaking it at all...
JASON O'MARA looks like a cross between Mr. Shu from GLEE and a young Mel Gibson, especially some of the expressions he makes and when he cries. Anyone else see the resemblence?
To the Limey wimp below: At least the American version is possible, credible and more rooted in reality. When you folks can win a war without our help, or be a big player in world politics without our support or build a car with a decent electrical system, then critize the greatest nation to ever grace the face of the Earth. People still dream of coming here, can you say the same??
@TroyCarm and you people wonder why no one likes you. american would probably be around.... number 13 in a list of best nations ever, give or take a few. also more rooted in reality?! bunch of guys go to mars and have a simulated reality for some reason, yeah that's way more possible, credible and rooted in reality than a guy dreaming in a coma. also yes we can say the same, just go out to any field in the summer with a Polish-English dictionary.
@TherealMrChristophel, in the British version of the show (as revealed at the end of Ashes to Ashes, LOM's spinoff, Tyler was not in a coma but in a form of purgatory, so you might want to rethink your assessment. The reason Sam and his crew were sleeping was for neural stimulation, because the ship took a few years to Mars, and if they were awake they might go mental.
@TherealMrChristophel ah yeah but i don't think ashes to ashes is very good, and that Life on Mars should stand up on it's own. plus the american ending is still rubbish.
@TroyCarm incidentally the other 12 in no particular order were, the Roman Empire, The British Empire, the Mongol Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Chinese Empire, Alexander the Great's Empire, the Mungal Empire, the Russian Empire, Medici Florence, the Byzantine Empire, the Persian Empire, The Spanish Empire and the Egyptian Empire.
@TroyCarm also also you cannot talk about better electrical cars when "Hummers" are still available for public sale, if we can't win wars then fine, we'll all just leave Afganistan to you then, you guys got it, apparantly, and to stop you whining, and I'm sorry to stop you whinning, 'cause I know how much you like to do it, under
Rule 158. No matter how many remakes there are of the original, no matter how good the remake is, the original is the best.

@TroyCarm You gotta be kidding, one of the biggest problems we have is the amount of people trying to come here.
