I have been to this hotel 2 years ago and I have seen the dancer on the video and she is truly beautiful. Lovely dancer and even had a chance to get up on stage and dance with another dancer at the hotel. Entertainment here is great. I am going again this year.

And I agree with many here, high heels do make the dancer look like a stripper! I've always worn flat dance shoes, creates a much earthier movement rather than something a lot more flimsy like these. Still, each to their own...I just don't ebvy them when they get old and they've twisted their backs for years of dancing in heels!

Most whirling dervishes are men so if you're wondering why 'she' looks a bit macho, there's your answer!=) I'm a belly dancer and I personally prefer that style, but I think this is pretty cool! Original dancers didn't wear two piece outfits either, that was western influence.

The clip is not ment to show the BEST of EGYPT Dances, all the show is just the level you expect on a Sharm resort. Surely not the best belly dancer (i am not sure that i can call her ugly, she is Egyptian BTW), nor Hagalah, nor Darweesh... it just gives an idea. Let's let people see that and compare to other dances...so they can create the ability of critisism.

I agree with you, the real "floor grip" could not be abtained with high heels, indeed...many of the old films we have (1932-1960) we can see that dacers are either bare foot or with flat soft shoes.

i cant understand the "new belly dance" with very high heels. its make the belly dancer looks like astriper.

im abellydancer and im useing heels sometimes in dance but much smaller ,more like aflamenco shoes
