Hello 'Paul', I just had to let you know what a sterling, stunning ersion of this fabulous tune, you have played here. My Mummy-nanna used to put her 'wireless' on and this would sometimes be playing, oh what lovely memories you have revoked for me... Well over 40 years or so... :0)x
You have made a Silver-haired Nannysal very happy, thank you so much for playing and posting this... :0)x
Nicely done. Thanks for posting. Like some others here, I first heard the song during the WABC-TV 11 pm weekend news sign-off in the 70s. My family would watch all the credits roll just to hear the song...and get ticked if it got cut off.
my brother Tom used to play this for me all the time, especially on my birthday My parents watched the 11 pm news on ABC in New York when we were kids(long time ago)this is the song used to sign off We couldn't remember the REAL title just called it the 11 o'clock news. Tom passed away suddenly in Dec of last year I not only lost him, I lost the song also.I contacted ABC and they sent a link to Youtube.I listened to several versions yours is the closest I remember THANK YOU SO MUCH
From the moment I first heard this classic Leroy Anderson piece, I LOVED it. I MELT when I hear it, and you played it so very beautifully... you brought honor to the piece. Thanks! Ever consider taking the audio and making a photo-collage over it? That would be SO fantastic!
Hi, Thanks for your kind comment. For me Technics are the best! It's a 1992 GN9. Unfortunately Technics don't make musical instruments any more. I believe they got out of the business because they couldn't make it profitable. Sad!
This was beautiful. I had no idea that you made these videos even if I got your San Damiano/Libera video half a year ago. I'm really glad I found these through Adrian C.
I really look forward to more of your videos, maybe especially of Libera music. Thanks!
Love-it; hopeless-on-piano at high-school. Looking-at the Yamaha EZ-200 [&-its successor]. Is there a midi-file download?

Far as I know, Technics no longer manufactures organs any more. But this organ sounds nice and you play very well!

You're very talented. I'm an organist, too....I love the sound of the Technics... is it a fairly new model?

Hi Tommy,
Many thanks for your kind comment. I do understand about senior moments being somewhat senior myself :)

God, that was absolutely gorgeous. Exquisite arrangement. Thanks for sharing. FYI 2008 is Leroy Anderson's bicentennial year (1908-1975).
