While I'll miss the DoW replays (Waaagh!), I've always preferred your SC commentary, especially with Klazart on indefinite hiatus. Speculation: Vaul was very familiar with Games Workshop's universes coming in, and in terms of presentation and Relic's faithfulness to the WH40K universe, DoW is a very fun game to watch and cast.

In Starcraft, you have a large number of professional players with unique styles, a changing map pool, and room for innovation. In that type of environment, there's room for lots of commentators to present ideas on strategy, historical significance, and the future of the game. DoW's kinda stagnant.

Part of that is the fact that Blizzard stuck and continue to stick with it, whereas Relic has shown no real dedication to making the game fit (balanced sufficiently) for e-sport (they probably just want to make more money with new games). Of course with so many races, that would be a rather daunting task anyway.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think the DoWPro boys are gonna get their mod balanced and bug-free in the next few months or so (getting the game bug-free is extremely important and probably the main speedbump right now). I'm merely a lurker at DoWSanc, so I can't speak with any authority, but yeah. Also, getting familiar enough with DoWPro to be able to commentate games will take a huge amount of time.

Anyhow, great tournament, Vaul, looking forward to Starcraft, and the TSL! Idra Hwaiting!
