There is an absolutely Brilliant Film on the tube about this period of the Mad Mardi, called The Four Feathers, based upon A.E.W. Mason Book. In Which a British officer "Harry Feversham" Blacks up as a Native and sets free Captured British soldiers and natives against that hate, the Mardi Surporters . Its such a good yarn that they’ve remade the film many times.
