people and critiques say that this band seems robotic and devoid of heart or soul. but what makes this band extremely talented is the fact that they can create songs away from the norm and play them together so beautifully and perfectly. the level of musicianship is really unheard of.

Having never met this band, it would be difficult to imagine how my response to their music could be personal in the way you mean - as if it would somehow discredit what I was saying. But in another sense music is very personal. There's probably little point commenting on someone's YouTube videos, but I happen to care very much about some of the music these guys claim as influences.

I wouldn't say they "suck", they just don't have much to say. All the technical ability in the world won't cover a gaping lack of heart. Neither innovators or real traditionalists, they're stuck with their box of masturbatory tricks. Odd that the guitarist claims Nels Cline as an influence - he seems to have completely missed the point.
True, Nels does list him the 200, perhaps it's you who missed the point. No one puts out music that requires as much effort to perform as this and at the same time pretty much guarantees themselves no mainstream support by being completely and utterly unique, all while havin gno heart and nothing to say. Plus, you seem to post negative things on all their videos...I think it's for personal reasons.

Their heart & soul lies within their intelligence.
I love slow, emotionally-driven music just as much as the next guy.
But you have to give it up to pure skill.

True, Nels does list him the 200, perhaps it's you who missed the point. No one puts out music that requires as much effort to perform as this and at the same time pretty much guarantees themselves no mainstream support by being completely and utterly unique, all while havin gno heart and nothing to say.
