  • Hey, was that a map I saw when he continued? That wasn't in the NES version.

  • @mmking9999

The Japanese version had maps and moving backgrounds (moving trees, snowfall, stage 7 pulsates). The Famicom version has a special chip with added memory to pull these things off.

  • 32:15 lol

  • He leans so far over the table when he plays shooting games! All the ones I see are probably stuck or tethered to the table for just that reason.

  • I noticed that the famicon version has better graphics on the snow and last stage. Or am I wrong?

Thumbs up if you noticed this.

  • That last boss was nothing compared to the first!

  • Why was Level Removed on the NES Version of Contra O-o thank God Konami kept the Konami Code in but still...who woulda thought Level Select Exsisted in the NES Days the Famicom/NES was sure revolutionary more so then I thought

  • My mom used to go on and on about life in 50's Japan. Including spending all the yen she just scammed from my granddad in bodegas like the one in the intermission. So I guess they're real, she's not just being weird.

Also, did Japan get the Advantage? It totally rules for Contra. Saves you from NES controller hand-cramps.

  • @Teeg32 More or less, they did. The stick (including the NES Advantage, believe it or not) was made by ASCIIWARE. The same company made the Super Advantage for the SNES. On that note, Bullet Proof Software originally made the controller we know as the NES Max.

Hmm.. NES MAX, Inoko MAX.. nah, I'm not gonna say something mean about the kid. He tries at least.

  • I never saw the boss of the last stage.

    すけ~~~~

  • Big ups Ancientcircle! Thanks :D

  • Inoko MAX is the best!!

  • @hxlr666 haha yeah he is. Always funny how Arino jokes about his level of commitment to videogames.

  • Arino used exercised great control to not used the Contra code.

  • How could he not know the famous Contra code?

  • @AaronDew

It isn't that popular outside of USA.

  • @zuschzero

it's extremely famous in Taiwan =D

  • @zuschzero

It's known as the Konami Command in Japan. It's more famous in Gradius, however. Arino used it in the first season.

  • hellz yes. keep em coming bud!

  • 平成死亡チャンス!
