  • Such underrated artists from an underrated era.

  • So Cool

  • thank you for sharing........my nr 1 and 2 idols, both white men...the only ones who can sing soul...

  • the king(collins) and the prince (young) = amazing!!!!

  • phil collins yeeaah!

  • I ja ću biti tu.

  • paul young has an amazin voice!

but i love phill collins too lol

  • LOL Eric Clapton on guitar. I never thought i'd see him do Motown.

  • In the parts when they sang together I hear only Collins. He have strong voice.

  • a great voice from my younger days as a child. phil collins what a man

  • je dédicace cette chanson à mère très beau morceau et interpréter avec brio

    j'adore j'adore

  • Paul Young...couple of U.S. hits....then faded away quick as a streaking lightning bolt. Not a bad voice...but this is the ABSOLUTELY WRONGEST song for him to attempt!

  • Phil Collins é o mestre da música, sem dúvida !!!

  • Paul sounds worse than Phil here but he's the better singer. Of course everything can be considered subjective. But I think Young's voice is more effortless when he's in the right setting.

  • in french.......superbe

  • miss the 80's :(

  • two real stars ... not that casting garbage.

  • happy brithday paul

  • Love em both, but this is not the best version of this song iv'e ever heard

  • Why the peeing contest over who is better? Paul Young is gifted too. Check out his song 'Come Back and Stay'. This is just not his key or kind of song to show off his great voice.

  • Come Back and Stay is one of his best songs, if not THE BEST...

what's the name of this tune?

  • The name of this song is: 'Reach Out' and was made famous by a group called the Four Tops.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • @lancer89032 - There are three Four Tops' songs in tribute video: Reach Out; I Can't Help Myself (Sugar pie, Honey Bun); and It's the Same Old Song...

  • Who's the guy with blue suit and dark glasses that apears at 3:55...It seems to me that I saw him playing alive with roger waters and then with dire strait?

  • That is Ray Cooper, legendary British percussionist who has played with _everyone_. You will see him, without fail, playing his heart out at any Charity concert.

  • Fantastic

  • Look Paul Young has a great voice, but nobody I SAY NOBODY!!! can beat the Legend Phil Collins!

I don't say Paul Young is worse, he is a good singer but I like Phil Collins more than Paul Young.

  • i agree phil collins is legendary with the drums paul young mabe his looks.lol but both are good

  • I met paul! at the london premiere for This Is It!

  • Paul Young is out of his league on this song. Phil Collins FTW!

  • at least paul is still singing :)

  • phil

just got done with a world tour

    filling collisieums

not singing to old people in a theatre like young

    but paul is great to

  • Touché :P

  • im a big Big Country fan.Its great to see Mark Brzezicki on drums in another vid.

    Cheers for putting on.

  • paul young has the best voice

  • Possibly the ultimate cabaret band

  • nul, saufe phil collins

  • I love this back line, I love this song and the singers.

I loved my life in thes time, because I was jung !

  • ..stop..now i see myself: it is mark brezizcky

  • who´s on the drums?

  • Who's on the piano here?

  • mic lindup of level 42 is on keyboards.

  • What is the title of this song? Thanks for posting if you will be know.

  • Reach out

  • Thank You:)

  • did anyone even notice that its mark king and level 42's back ,line?

the live at wembley set up!

  • what is a back line?

  • the back line is the equipment used on stage like the drums, keyboards, bass equipment, things like that. but i ont know whos on piano.

  • Oh I see. Well being a huge Level 42 fan, I knew Mark and Mike were both here, just wondered who that dude on piano was. He must be someone special given that both Elton John and Jools Holland were avaliable on the night!

  • They are both awesome, but I have to say that Phil is a bit better!

  • absolutely agree with you !!!! Phil Collins is great as always !!!!!

  • They were both awesome!!!Thanks for uploading.

  • They are both Great !!!

  • I've never seen this before. Thanks for posting it! I love Phil!!!

  • it has been said that paul young had a voice like marvin gaye, in fact it was he that said it, now i like paul young but im still waiting

to hear marvin gaye, some-one is bullshitting

  • Tru dat. Bullshitting to the tenth power.

  • no that was steve interesting davis, pratt

  • Can I just say that if you don't think that Mr. Paul Young has an interesting voice you know nothing about music. His voice has an incredible strength and passion that many singers lack. Paul Young is an incredible person and a real singer. If you don't like it then don't watch it and don't comment on it!

  • no voice is gonna beat phil,no way on this earth!!!!!!

  • I love this, it's brilliant, they're both amazing but Paul Young is better than Phil Collins although I do love them both!

  • Great stuff.....but for the record, whilst both have brilliant voices Paul Young is ahead!!

  • @pearceyfc I don't think so. Paul Young has a characteristic husky voice, but he has a limited range, dynamics and his intonation is not exactlu perfect. Whenever Phil comes in, I hear an effortless voice with impeccanle intonation, dynamics, great and authentic phrasing and that silver-timbre. Not to mention an ace showman. Yeah Phil is uncool, sounds slightly working-class London and he is losing his hair - that makes him an easy target. Phil is musically in a totally different league.

  • 1: Reach Out (I'll Be Yours)

    2: I Can't Help MySelf

3: It's the same old song

  • Phil Collins is MUCH better than Paul Young.

  • And isn't that Mark King from Level 42 on bass?!

  • Super!

  • is that eric clapton loitering in the background?

  • Yeah.

  • i thought so...thanks for the confirmation.

  • Paul Young and Phil Collins both rule.

    What's the song's title?

  • The song is called "Reach Out I'll Be There" by the Four Tops, circa 1966, a big hit for Motown. It was the Four Tops signature song as well. Switches to "Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch" they did in 1965... If I remember correctly, the Four Tops would do a medley of both songs, which is what Collins and Young are basing their version on.

  • does anyone know what song they're doing? because I never heard this song before

  • Reach out. A classic from the 60's

  • Sorry, I was too fast to post. It's a medley with soul classics. Reach out, Can't help myself and the last one I can't remember the name, sorry

  • the out of tune and out of time horns is what bugs me

  • What a painful song. Who the hell thought that these two would be good together. Phil has enough energy to carry the whole performance. At least put someone with as much energy as him. He needs to sing on a cruise ship (Paul Young). Phil is awesome!

  • Paul Young rules!

  • Paul trying hes bollox off, Phil making it look so easy! very talented!

  • What an uninspired, unrehearsed crap. False notes by band and Phil... This is what happens if you believe that great reputations can do anything they want and as quickly as they want, and still be great. What a deception!! Any amateur band with passion would do it at least 5o% better!!

  • Phill is also brill

  • Paul was lovely stil is saw him at Bedworth still good bless you paul

  • Man, i love these two guys.

They just have different voices, thats all. One is smoother then the other, but there both so fantastic.

    Great clip!

  • First of all, I don't wanna offend anybody, this is just my own humble opinion.

Did you compare their voices, their singing? It looks to me that Paul Young has to make an effort to sing (and his singings sounds medium to me...not bad, but also not that great) but Phil Collins doesn't have to make an effort to sing and it sounds just...way better. I think there's a huge difference.

Again, this is no offence to anybody, also not to Paul Young (I like him too), it's just my humble opinion.

  • Well, his voice was strained due to throat surgery, so he truly does have to make an effort.

  • Paul Young and Phil collins, what a great combination

  • Phil he is my man!:D Gonna see him life in a month!:D

  • nice one

  • "I hear your ill-informed sarcasm, but Phil Collins is a legend. Paul Young was a one hit wonder from the 80's."

Thats mean. Paul Young is amazing in so many ways.

  • I liked Paul's cover of Every Time You Go Away. I don't see it as an insult to call someone a one hit wonder, if in fact that's what they are. He had a couple of moderate hits after that, but he is known for one hit. That doesn't mean in any way that he wasn't amazing. As you should know, much of the greatest music is never heard by the masses.

  • joelmc73,listen prick paul is not a 1 hit wonder well over 20 million album sales when you had to sell about 30,000 to get into the top 40.get your facts right b4 you open your trap

  • It's always nice to share a conversation with intelligent people. Do you know where I could find any?

  • Que craks. Esto son músicos y no el Bustamante y toda esa mierda.

  • nice

  • ha ha both legends!

  • I hear your ill-informed sarcasm, but Phil Collins is a legend. Paul Young was a one hit wonder from the 80's.

  • He was not a one hit wonder-he had four other

top 40 hits in the US, including a cover of the

Chi-Lite's Oh Girl which hit #8 in 1990
