You don't attack the AI Dante with melee attacks when he is using Royalguard. Attack using your guns from a distance. He'll block them all, and start deflecting the bullets again. That'll let you know that his RG gauge is full. Stop attacking him and let him come up to you, but start backing away from him when he starts walking WHILE STILL BEING LOCKED ON to him. Eventually, he'll be right in front of you, and then stop. Jump away from him. Very likely he'll use release and then change styles.
