He was a lefty Republican in Massachusetts as he raised university fees enormously while letting the legislature toughen licensing laws to force people to go to university. That's had a major impact on Massachusetts' economy because it made it very difficult tfor people to get job training. I wish he took a tougher stand while he was governor against illegal immigration and abortion.

Those who think there shouldn't be a middle ground is how we got into this mess. We all need to put our politics aside and do what is right for this country. Mitt Romney is a very impressive individual. His speech was delivered without using a teleprompter and the only time he looked at his notes was to read quotes from Reagan. He makes a lot of sense and knows a lot about the economy and foreign policy. America could really benefit from having him in the White House.
