God some people are idiots... Those characters are NOT wearing dk starting gear. The gear shown in those pics are the basic northrend quest and dungeon rewards. Blizzard proved to be slightly lazy, as all the gear except for level 80 epics looks exactly the same (depending on armor type, plate/mail/leather/cloth) except for very small changes in color. You can make your character look like that after an hour of questing in northrend easily.

For those of you wondering what they will add, it will be new classes, as well as sub classes, so if you do not want to become a death knight, you can become a wizard etc (for mage) same for other classes. I have heard rumors that if you complete the deathknight quest you can begin your alts at level 50, do not hold me for that though.
