  • Flat hand, tilted hand, fist, flat hand followed by the hustle. People that have seen the movie get it.

  • Not the best sounding verition, The best is by John Williams 1977, on Arista records!

  • Hello I'm from Venezuela and we have had several sightings here, and from a group of conformable surveillance in the Caribbean coast for this type of vehicle in south america, my location is in town and leave my face bolivar open to all Aque this interested in joining this cause ...

  • Weren't these special effects like top notch for the late 70s?

  • magnifica versione, bravissimo!

  • If there were aliens from a far away galaxy and could make the flight to this remote location i dont think they would so interested in such a backwards race, that is not able to get along with one another, that kill each other, and does not realize it fullest potential and wastes more than half its kind to poverty and hunger

  • @ajr0988 Well, your negativity's sure helping, champ.

  • I seriously believe that if there was contact with aliens they wouldnt do what the UFOs we see do: fly around a bit making a show for a couple of people and then disappearing. If real aliens came to Earth they would either show themselves on a large scale or we wouldnt see them at all. You also have to wonder why aliens would waste the energy to visit Earth. Its very presumptuous to think that they would even care to come here

  • @MagicMartin5 Douglas Adams made the joke that the only Aliens that visit us are rich punks joy riding their parents flying saucers.

  • I always thought the song they play to talk to the aliens sounded more like dial up internet. The drones in this one make it sound even more like internet.

  • @PinkPunkyKat its a synthesizer

  • This video: UFOs: A Worldwide Control System, is far different then the weak-three-fingered-frail beings (that could never have the strength or hand articulation to utilize any s0-called brain power to build such spacecraft capable of standing space travel) which people say they see and are consequently portrayed in Hollywood films. There is far more sinister motives behind aliens, and they are far more powerful, capable demonic forces.

  • @timcp1 I don't want to turn this into a religion and anti religion bashing contest but I think these so called "aliens" of today are fallen angels/demons. Anyway, whenever I watched this movie I would always think, "Someone set those poor things up with broadband."

  • If I close my eyes, I can see the wood paneling and shag carpet.

  • @juliabohemian That was so our old house hahahahahahahahah!

  • What can I say guys. This film is undoubtedly classic!!! Great & intriguing storyline, great acting and visual effects. Steven Spielberg is master. Richard Dreyfuss and Melinda Dillon did a great job as well. Our modern SCI-FI is trash compared to such classical movies like this one.

    I miss the 70s, 80s and 90s

  • I have not heard this version for around 30 years! Used to really like it when I was 10. Thanks for posting.

  • We are not alone any more...

  • Dang...this is not close enough of the theme that was played on the radio back in 1977...does anyone now the exact track/artist that did this back then?

This one doesn't sound like the one I was looking for: similar but not quite the one. It sounds more like a re-mastered version.

  • Hey pgs5719 this is the one from 1977.

  • Hey pcash59...thankyou for posting; it sounds so different from when I listened to it from a clock radio; while I was going to Junior College in 1977 and woke up to this sound from my clock radio...and now listening it from my headphones with stereo/bass sounds; dang!!! it brings back my 20 year old young man self.

  • This is not the original. The original was performed by Gene Page in 1977. Check it out.

  • Thanks zwiterion 777, for the referral to the rendition by Gene Page. It sounded pretty cool. There's a difference in sound of course, as the GP rendition was by an orchestra, whereas the one I have featured here (BabyS), is performed by a band of four brothers with two backup musicians. Both are excellent performances although after listening to both, I still favor the BabyS' version. It sounds more youthful, energetic & upbeat. I suppose it is subjective. :)

  • Hi NoLirix,;

Let me clarify my comment. What I should have said is that the version that most of heard on the radio in 1977 was done by Gene Page. The Avila Bothers' rendition is O.K. and is close but no cigar. And you are right, it is subjective. My preference is still Gene Page.

Long live the music. Peace. :-)

  • @pcash59 hell ya

  • @pgs5719 'The Galactic Force Band' done a cover in 78' that is very similar to this.

  • I can't believe I found this,it brings back memories of growing up in Philly. This was the advertisement for the Carlton Shops.Downtown off of Market Street.

  • Yeah, I remember I bought a tape in 1980-81 I guess, with this song on it , also featured "cantina band" and "superman" themes played with this style, I'll post the title when I find it :)

  • Groovy, thanks for posting!
