watched an episode of rock family trees and the bass player of the mersey beat or something talked of how he'd played on a fake live album by alex harvey , who was determined to portray his band as a hamburg favorite live act.

this song is off that record,

used to have a tape of it,

loved it and was strangely pleased when i found out it was fake

Thanks for sticking this up, hadn't heard this version with His Soul Band before. Have never really been a rock lover, soul and reggae was my thing but i'd heard Next and loved it so i went to a SAHB in concert..The whole band were superb, pure entertainment, Alex had us eating out his hand. Been looking around to see if there's any footage or recordings from his last band Electric Cowboys. No joy so far
