You are doing the end of that wrong. The book clearly states that you should end up in the exact same spot that you strated from. The turn in preperation for the side kick should be to the front direction, not the side.
Dan Curry has said that he has seen many good videos but he dislikes the Karate like Kata. He feels the weapon should flow more from one technique to the next. Just a thought this is better than most I have seen. I need a good Batleth im guessing yours is from Wing Lam if now were did you get this? Is it able to hold an edge?
Same as Secret Fighting Arts of the Warrior Race just about nice work. At 0:37 I would cut that part out in favor of holding from both the middle and end. These are to heave to swing well at one end. It would be easier for the weapon to be knocked away and hard to recover it in time. About the only time I use a grip like that is like at 1:00 with a single heavy blow. Most guards I think would be shattered not to mention the hook would go around them striking them in the head. Underrated weapon.
